This year seems even worse than usual. Either way, my point remains.

I'm feeling that we will end up re-signing MVS. Then add Julio on a 1 year deal. Hopefully MVS is cheap, which means it won't be. Both will probably be 10mil each.

1.) Julio Jones
2.) MVS
3.) Lazard
4.) Cobb
5.) Rodgers
6.) Draft Chris Olave (1st pick)
7.) Draft another receiver, my pick is still David Bell (2nd Round)

idk how I would feel about Julio. There's a big part of me that thinks he's pretty much done. There's really not much left for vet FA's. I think Jarvis Landry is the last one I'd slightly be excited about.

As for the trade front, DK Metcalf has been brought up a bunch on twitter, but I don't think he's that good either lol. Rather have Lockett if we went for a Seahawk receiver.

Maybe Gute continues to buck the trend of the Packer Way and does another unexpected thing and we double-dip on receivers with our two 1sts. They'll have plenty of picks in rounds 2-7 to find talent at other needs like DL, EDGE, OT and TE. Rodgers would have to agree to that though, of course. Doubt he'd be comfortable playing with two rookie wideouts. But he might have to.

Cool, pretty reasonable deal. Curious what's guaranteed, of course - would be nice to have an easy out if he does indeed prove to be a half-season wonder. But happy to have him back.

Go get Landry.

I think lots of deals are so bloated because front offices are getting better at contract structure. Kirk got up to 80 mil but probably only sees 2 years of that deal (still an overpay, but they can get out of it quickly), davanta is basically a 3 year deal averaging 23 mil per which is actually a solid deal for both parties. Lots of smart cap gurus ala horst in the NFL

Money is fine for Douglas. Hope he wasn't a fluke but even if he was they can likely get out after a season. Curious if this means Alexander will play slot corner a bunch this season. Douglas and Stokes don't seem to have the body type for that role.

Weird hypothetical... Douglas stokes and jaire really don't play slot... Who does now? Jaire? What does jaire net in regards to compensation via a trade? Not advocating for a trade but could entertain.

Peter Schrager mentioned the Packers could have interest in Keenan Allen.

I'm not sure I want to give up a 1st or 2nd for a WR in a trade. But then there 0 chance a team would trade a Metcalf or Allen for a 3rd.

Love having Douglas back. And I would also love Allen on this team

If Douglas just plays solid defense, I'm happy. He doesn't even necessarily need to be the ball-hawk of last year, though I won't complain if he snags a few Ints :D

Alexander + Stokes starters on outside; Ja slides inside against 11 personnel / 3WR formations.

I'd also use Savage in slot and have Douglas play a little safety... thinking outside the box.

Of course we might find another diamond in the rough this summer who can be the slot CB.

Anyway, its a great problem to have!

Beasley would just be another version of Cobb, right? Depending on price, might be nice to add for depth...

How has his health been recently? I just remember him always being injured for my fantasy teams.

Ummm, Allen has only missed two games over his last five seasons, with a consistent average of roughly 100 catches for 1100 yards per.
