They have an ascending star QB and if Watt can stay healthy that defense has a chance to be lethal. I don’t know what cap gymnastics they have to do but I just read they feel they have a good chance of keeping both Riddick and Peterson. We’ll see. If that’s indeed the case they’re on the short list of NFC contenders.
I do enjoy all the backtracking happening on Twitter right now from Packers nation. Very quickly went from “do whatever it takes to bring JJ home” to “LOL overrated/overpayed”
If you look back I stated if the Packers cut Preston to sign JJ I am not sure we even get better. If we could afford to have them both, then great.
I feel the same way for AZ. If they figure out a way to keep Reddick and Peterson after signing JJ, that defense is legit. If they basically just traded Reddick/Peterson for JJ, they are probably worse.
Anything can happen in the NFL.....but he just joined (if not for the Niners injuries) the worst team in the toughest division. If Murray doesn't make a huge jump this year, he will be just as disappointed in his team's performance as he was in Houston. I don't think that happens if he goes to Buffalo, Cleveland, GB, Indy, TB.
Did those teams offer as much money? Probably not....but if it was about the money just stay in Houston for 1 yr/17 mil and get a monster deal in 2022.
