Easton Butler who's pretty plugged into Packer rumors is hearing the Packers called in on Caesar Ruiz before he got his ankle injury and are also poking around on Asante Samuel who is having a CT scan next week. Take with a grain of salt as with any report but Easton is pretty dialed in for not being an actual reporter lol.

If Giants are willing to give up a first then sure, do it. Anything less and I'm good.

Just watched the Bengals all 22. There were a few plays they had five blockers against three rushers and still have up a pressure or a sack.

I don't wanna hear about any given Sunday. Enough is enough. If we don't beat this team by 14+ or more after a bye week then it's time to make some serious changes.

No idea if Reed will be back or how effective he will be. Watson will be back but no idea how effective he will be. You don't go all in on the Micah trade and then trade your (currently) best receiver. Sure a first round Giants pick would be juicy but the Giants aren't doing that.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Agreed, but if the Giants were that dumb it's an easy trade as you could practically trade that pick for two late firsts and basically you ended up just trading Clark for Parsons.

But I agree Giants don't make that trade and there isn't much else I would make that trade for.

Unless they want to trade us Dexter Lawrence or Burns...lol.

I googled Samuel and it went to his dad and I was completely confused on why we were checking out a 44 year old. What's the deal with his kid? Injured? Sucks? Both?

Well Clark and Doubs.

Not that my opinion matters, but I wouldn't trade Doubs unless we got a lineman or corner back. Like MD said, you don't waste this year with Parsons to not go for it.

He underwent neck surgery in the offseason so maybe that's why he's even available in the first place. Kinda surprised the Chargers didn't retain him, but I haven't paid attention to his career at all since being drafted. Stephon Gilmore is still out there as well, although I have no clue if he really has anything left in the tank. He was consistently serviceable last season, but he's also 35.

Fowler says the Packers atleast have cursory interest in extending Doubs and won't trade him

If true, that's an interesting development. The only real concern, IMO, is for the concussion history. I discount the stepping away from the team as a one-off episode from an intense guy. His teamates seem to have dealt with that and put it behind them. As a WR on the field, he's that Mr. Reliable guy.

The Doubs trade talk is idiotic. They weren't going to trade him during the offseason and they sure as hell aren't going to trade him during the season.

Absolutely can't trade Doubs with Reed's status for the rest of the season still up in the air.

Broke out into the top 15.

No idea what kind of contract we can expect to extend him.

Hypothetical:

Let's say Romeo 100% deadset on a Tee Higgins deal 4/115, states there is no way he accepts less that that. A team outside the division with a record of 1-4 or 2-3 calls and states they will give you a first for Doubs while paying him what he wants. Let's say in this hypothetical you have 4 options:

-Sign Doubs to Higgins type of deal, while you already have huge contracts in Love, Parsons, Gary, McKinney, Banks, etc.
-Trade him for a first (Yes, I realize this is probably not the offer that would be out there, but humor me).
-Keep Doubs the entire year, let him walk and receive a comp pick at the end of the third or fourth round.
-Keep Doubs, franchise him and he refuses to sign it, becomes a malcontent. Shows up and goes through the motions just enough to become a free agent next year.

Which of these are you taking? Mind you next year Reed and Kraft turn free agents.

Bye Bye Romeo - Love the player, but rather pay Kraft and Reed. We have some decent depth at WR, Watson will be back soon. Wicks/Golden/Heath/Melton can hold it down. for a few weeks.
