Has Rodgers ever taken a discount or restructured his deal? I don't remember.

They did in 2019, the year we brought in the Smiths.

The two qbs in the SB restructured their deals because they see the cap went down dramatically.

If Rodgers wants any chance at bringing in or keeping certain players he needs to get on board.

One thing to consider is Gute doesn’t want to restructure Rodgers and wants to keep the teams cap outs with his current deal. I have no idea if that is likely or not but if Rodgers is looking for more bucks they may just be willing to ride out the current deal as structured

Hayward isn't good anymore
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Haven't paid attention to him in years, but he always seemed like a guy that was good when he was healthy and terrible when he wasn't. With GB just seemed like he was always hurt, then went to the Chargers and had a good run of health.

Surprised to see he is nearly 32.

If Trevor Lawrence is anywhere near what most believe he will be Jacksonville should be able to compete for the playoffs next year. 70+ mil in capspace and all of these free agents.....they should be able to sign a nice wr to lineup opposite Shenault (who I think will have a breakout year), sign some decent offensive linemen to protect Lawrence, and there are a plethora of pass rushers/corners out there.

Same goes for the Jets if they draft well.

Chargers...Colts.....we might see more parody next year than ever before if these teams spend wisely.

Brees apparently hanging it up

What’s been anticipated is now official: New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees confirmed that he is retiring from the NFL after appearing in 305 games over the last 20 years, including the playoffs and the start to his career with the then-San Diego Chargers back in 2001. He made the announcement on the fifteenth anniversary of his signing with New Orleans.

Most of that deal is straight fugazzi but the saints are paying hill like $20 mil this year which itself is pretty crazy.

Shaq Barrett announced he is staying in Tampa.

Hopefully they overpaid...but looking at the David contract, I doubt it.

Tonyan's agent would be looking closely at this deal. That's a lot of guaranteed money.

So Smith got basically the same deal as Aaron Jones except 18 mil more guaranteed?

If that is what Tonyan is looking for...hopefully someone signs him and gives us their 2nd round pick.

Judon to NE for 4/52

I thought the Pats were in caphell? How do they all of a sudden have 60 mil to spend?

Just a rumor for now, but this would be a good trade for Jacksonville. Move Brown over to the left side like he's been wanting and secure your shiny new QB's longevity.

I like Chark, but an 'alpha WR' ?

Jags are going to be fascinating, they are almost like an expansion team that can buy a lot of pieces to fit around a ready to go QB.

Makes all the sense in the world for Jacksonville. Depends on what picks they give up....but you have to protect Lawrence. If it's Chark and the picks from Seattle/Minnesota then it works out well for both teams.
