I really thought Scott was gonna be good.

He has a big leg just wasn't consistent enough and the cold seemed to bother him. Some warm weather or dome team should give him a look.

The kicking in the cold thing is no small matter and the reason I hope Mason kicks until he's 45 :)

A hearty welcome to Colby Boricua. May your punting transcend the pedestrian efforts of JC Watts.

Was Scott cut?

*edit* Yes he was cut.

In the post-game presser, LaFleur took a side-ways shot at Scott and his leg cramps. Something to do with not being prepared for the conditions, but the old veteran Crosby was prepared and had to step in.

Great move. Now grab a long snapper.

I hope Begelton makes it to the practice squad.
ESB just couldn't stay healthy.
Not surprised at all that Sternberger didn't make the cut
I'd rather they kept one or two of the defensive backfield guys who got cut instead of Hanson and Kelly (neither impressed me)

I'm not mad at JK Scott. I'm disappointed in him. He had all the tools but couldn't put it together.

At least the new punter isn't afraid to try and make a tackle.

Sternberger is suspended so technically still on the team but he probably needs one of the guys ahead of him to get hurt to actually make the 53 when his suspension is over.

The only way I think that Sternberger comes back is if one of the others gets hurt, as you noted.

If Pack is looking for cheap veteran help at Safety, former 1st round picks Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix (2014) and Damarious Randall (2015) as well as former 2nd round pick Josh Jones (2017) were all cut today.

Don't they usually keep a certain amount of offensive linemen? Also one of them is likely gone when 69 gets back.

He was basically middle-third among punters. Even if the new guy is a little better, I don't think it's a needle-mover.

I am hoping he can hold. Scott at least was a decent holder. Now Crosby is going to have to be working overtime with the new guy to get timing down.

Apparently it's being moved to Jacksonville.

Gute values punters as much as defensive lineman. Both positions the highest he’s drafted was in the 5th round.
Another year of watching Northwestern alumni Lowry & Lancaster get manhandled.

Not a sufficient reason for keeping him on the roster, but that holder role could have been a job for Benkert.
