No but Rodgers was also the highest rated QB in that class. Love was not. And Brett was closer to retirement than Arod is.

Rodgers has been a steaming pile of dog sh*t for two seasons running. Favre was that near then end before having a season for the ages.

My reaction on this pick is based on if Love cried upon being drafted. The eyes don't lie.

Last year Gute spent a ton of money in free agency to revamp the defense and it got better. Was a win now move.
This year he spends no money in free agency, and drafts a QB in the first round - clearly both not win now moves.
Does he have a plan? Is there a goal besides being kinda good? I think that’s Murphy and Gute’s mantra - let’s be a good team. 10-6, 13-3, people will be happy. I don’t think they care if we win a Super Bowl.

Though i think in order to get them they will have to trade up in 2nd

Rodgers has absolutely not been a steaming pile of dog **** for two years. Look around the NFL. Seriously, look. Count the guys. I count 6 last season that you could even THINK about taking over Rodgers in hindsight. We as Packers fans live in a rose colored world, appreciate it.

Despite reportedly showing interest in Jordan Love, it’s hard to imagine the Packers using a high pick on a quarterback. The timing just isn’t right. I'm legitimately blown away at the negative reaction. It's as if they don't have any memory of the Rodgers draft and how that turned out.

I does not mean he will be anything like ARod. Its more about winning now. You can not sit here and tell me he is better prospect than Queen or Mimms. So why not take a chance on Queen which helps now. An area of weakness.
