Rodgers being over the hill and the Packers not providing him any weapons at WR or TE the past three years are not mutually exclusive.

No but Rodgers was also the highest rated QB in that class. Love was not. And Brett was closer to retirement than Arod is.

Rodgers has been a steaming pile of dog sh*t for two seasons running. Favre was that near then end before having a season for the ages.

Maybe Rodgers turns it around now that there's a fire lit under his ass.

I do like the fact that there’s heat on Rodgers to perform now. I like that a lot. I think he needs it.

As for him being a steaming pile of sh*t I guess you didn’t watch the 4 games in the middle of the season when Devante was out?

I disagree with Aaron being over the hill. He's just past his prime. :P

My reaction on this pick is based on if Love cried upon being drafted. The eyes don't lie.

Last year Gute spent a ton of money in free agency to revamp the defense and it got better. Was a win now move.
This year he spends no money in free agency, and drafts a QB in the first round - clearly both not win now moves.
Does he have a plan? Is there a goal besides being kinda good? I think that’s Murphy and Gute’s mantra - let’s be a good team. 10-6, 13-3, people will be happy. I don’t think they care if we win a Super Bowl.

Not the pick I wanted or expected but I have to admit if he turns out good he looks like he'd be a fun player. Hope he pans out.

Agreed. I don't think they want to win a Super Bowl. The proof is in the putting.

I guess the one silver lining through the hate of this draft pick is that even the the viqueens picked jefferson ahrad of the packers pick mims reagor are still available.
Though i think in order to get them they will have to trade up in 2nd
A love and mims or reager draft wont be to bad so far

Rodgers has absolutely not been a steaming pile of dog **** for two years. Look around the NFL. Seriously, look. Count the guys. I count 6 last season that you could even THINK about taking over Rodgers in hindsight. We as Packers fans live in a rose colored world, appreciate it.

Pull your head out of your ass and think of what life would be like with Josh Allen, Jameis Winston, Dak Prescott, Jimmy Garappalo, Carson Wentz or Matt Ryan would be as your QB. THAT'S what life is like on the outside of Packer Nation. Get. A. Grip.

And is article before the draft shows he still has some connections...

9. QUARTERBACK – There is a need here, but it’s probably too late to fill it. Gutekunst should’ve signed a veteran free agent last month. Despite reportedly showing interest in Jordan Love, it’s hard to imagine the Packers using a high pick on a quarterback. The timing just isn’t right. Instead, look for a QB to be drafted in the middle rounds to compete with unproven No. 2 Tim Boyle and even more unproven No. 3 Manny Wilkins. (5.75)

Guess a question to ponder is if both reagor n jefferson n murray were still there at 26 if the packers decision would of been different i read the packers really loved murray now 26th wasnt probably high enough for murray but was almost high enough for jefferson

How is that proof of anything other then proof of an internet connection when it was already been floated around that the Packers had interest in Love?

Michael Rodney is a nobody hack. It legitimately annoys me when people post his crap on this board. His opinion means absolutely nothing.

I does not mean he will be anything like ARod. Its more about winning now. You can not sit here and tell me he is better prospect than Queen or Mimms. So why not take a chance on Queen which helps now. An area of weakness.

Stop comparing drafting AROD to this. Brett Favre.

Thanks.

So many people are pissed off at the pick that there's going to be a protest in Madison today!
