What are running next year? A 3-3-5 with kind of a hybrid LB/S guy?

Looks like we’re after 2 gap DL guys, which is welcome.

It sounds like Fickell & Tressel are going to try and go back to more of what they ran at Cincy which yes was more of a 3-3-5. Lowery mentioned part of the reason he left was the staff wanted him to put his hand in the dirt and he didn't want to do that

O’Neil is probably more or less on par with Locke. Similar limitations. Obviously worse competition, but also playing as a true freshman.

Uninspiring backup, but has a bit of upside if you squint.

If they can get Edwards I'll feel pretty good about the QB room next season. Good mix of proven solid QB play, youth, and upside.

O'Neil doesn't really do it for me. I'm not sure Edwards does either, but I guess I'll trust the hype.

Same. Feels a bit like landing Mordecai and Locke. This is a situation where if you could combine these two nil packages and get Mendoza, you’d be much better off just doing that and relying on internal development for depth.

ESPN ranked the QBs in the portal. Edwards was 9th. Here's how PFF graded them last year.

Devon Dampier - 89.8
Kaidon Salter - 82.4
Billy Edwards Jr - 79.6
Miller Moss - 79.2
Darian Mensah - 79.1
Fernando Mendoza - 77.0
Michael Van Buren Jr. - 65.7
Jackson Arnold - 62.6
Conner Weigman - 57.9

Some dudes on that list above Edwards were legit bad last year and are still trading on their status as recruits.
