I don't know if he even makes the 53. He has an uphill battle as a small WR who has never played in the slot and will be relegated as a returner. In other news, Lyerla has looked bad. Has had the dropsies. Let's see what he does with pads on.

I love Mike Daniels:

Mike Daniels is excited for pads to go on: "You’ll see who really wants it. Football isn't so much about who can deliver the hit. It’s all about how you respond to getting hit. I’m expecting to get the crap knocked out of me at some point – maybe at several points. That’s just football.

I would hate going up against him on the OL in practice but I know it would make me better.

He needs to gain a lot of muscle but I don't know if his frame can handle it. It was why he fell. He's pretty slender.

Not gonna lie, I cringe every time I hear Abby should be our punt returner. Not because I doubt his talents, but because I feel bad for his brain.

Well Hyde is exceling at S exactly as I thought he would. While ILB remains mediocre and OLB injured. In half my mocks I said let Hyde handle S, called Perry a bust, and wanted to trade down to #34 and take Van-Noy who supposedly can play inside or out. He went #40 to Det. Wonder If vannoy will be any good?

Before you break your arm patting yourself on the back, here's Hyde's draft day thread.

You were pretty late to the party.

FWIW, people have been calling Perry a bust for 2 years (appropriately so), and ILB was an obvious problem.

I have no idea what the Finley situation is exactly, but I do know that zero teams in the NFL are willing to sign him at present. I can't imagine what would change in the next month to alter that thought process.

So from what I have read Casey Hayward is dominancing.

To be expected, considering he is the greatest football player to ever live.

steelers offered him a contract and he turned it down. No one wants him at the price he wants at this point

I'm sure he wants more than $10 million guaranteed since that is what his insurance policy was for.

Since you are so good at searching past threads (seriously Midranger you seem to be) (I'm not) - dig up this past draft thread where everyone was saying we don't need to take a S because we have Hyde. Maybe you can show me the thread where anyone was repeatedly suggesting Van-Noy as our pick to address LB. You seem angry? Why? Because I was one of the only ones who said in THIS years draft threads that we didn't need to draft a S #1 Hyde would cover S . I sure am not patting myself on the back about VanNoy as he may bust as well. If anything I am willing to repeat my stated preference before results are known and easily be wrong. But I suspect - could be wrong that - VanNoy will develop within 2 yrs and would have been a good pick for the Pack. Do you care to repeat any predicitions you made previously that the outcome is yet to be seen? Unlike most I enjoy giving people credit and props for little things like that. Football is so meaningless - nothing important hangs in the balance - why such a desire to tear others down. We all criticize so quickly - and some do it as if it makes their day. Have a nice day Midranger.

I wouldn't consider Nick Toon a football player...

So much as I would consider him a multi-sport phenom that is unlike anything we have ever seen before or will see again.

He's basically the slightly better version of David Lee.

The ILBs will play fine if the DL actually plays well. The same is true of the rest of the defense as well, IMO.

Even if Abby doesn't return punts, he will still have a chance to be a core special teamer.

Did you guys see how good he was at tackling defenders that caught Stave's passes?

Neal's at 263 now and could have practiced but TT told him to sit and heal. I'm kinda excited to see what he has at OLB now with more speed.

Article on PFT a month or two ago really hit the nail on the head on this one. Depending on what type of insurance he has it's going to take a lot for him to get that money since he's activity trying to get a contract(for the right price, he's been cleared by doctors and he's been offered a contract. He better have the Cadillac insurance or he's up for one tough battle to get that money.
