The charge against defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt was dropped by prosecutors June 12, ending the criminal case, Clarke County court records show. The county’s solicitor general told the Athens Banner-Herald on Friday that the case was dismissed after “reviewing the evidence and consulting with the alleged victim.”
Wyatt was arrested Feb. 21 after being accused of getting into a fight with a woman at the McWhorter Hall dormitory, UGA police previously told AJC.com.

Wyatt, who is a senior from Decatur, allegedly kicked the woman’s door “multiple times from the hallway, damaging the door and forcing it open” during an argument. At the time, Wyatt was living with the woman on and off, which led to the incident being classified as a “family violence” incident.

Apparently there are three more? I've only seen that on Walterfootball and they're not really a reputable source, so I don't know.

That Georgia defense is just unreal. They had Jermain Johnson for a time too.

It doesn't look good, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there.

I'd prefer Gute not refer to these things as hiccups. Just say he made some mistakes a few years ago or something. Either way I'm hopeful they really did their homework and believe in his character.

He kicked a door. He was young and stupid; many young and stupid men grow out of it.

He'll contribute from day one as a rotational DL.

Thank goodness you posted that... I was like....wtf, wasn't Kenny a young draft pick a few years ago???

These two in the trenches could be dominating.

Amazing...

Front seven could be stacked and back 4 stacked.

Big expectations for this defense.

Yeah there really isn't an excuse for this defense unless its absolutely ravaged with injuries. With the talent level at all 3 levels they really should be a top 5 unit

Seems like a monster, hopefully just on the football field. Sounds like he was removed completely from some boards, so either we're really good at doing homework or LOLYOLO.

We gain $5.8 million in cap space by releasing Lowry after June 1. I think we keep him though. Wyatt is no sure thing, especially as a rookie.

Yeah, Lowry has to be safe. He balled out last year too. Clark, Wyatt, Lowry, Slaton and Reed will make a nice rotation.

Yup. I keep harping on the attrition that ccomes with the increasingly long season, so having another solid vet is important. Also, how many tipped passes did Lowry have? It's not a thing that opponents are going to game around, but those tipped balls can alter a possession.

At 24 years old he better be an instant contributer. Assuming that went in to the decision to pick him. Should be ready to help the all in run.
