I wonder if Crosby's return is shakier than first thought. So,... a bit of a desperation pick? Dom Eberle, a UDFA is the only kicker currently on the roster.

If/when Mase is done, I hope they find a role for him within the organization. True Packer great. And he loves it here. I think he lives here all year round.

That could be said about virtually everyone at this point in the draft

I like Mason but I'd rather never watch him kickoff again if possible

Going to hit the 'I believe button' that our ST coach wanted this particular kicker. With as much as he seems to have a say on ST players on the roster, would be strange for us to draft a kicker he doesn't think can do the job.

This is definitely a factor. Bisaccia has a lot of say in special teams personnel. No way they make this pick without his blessing.

Those stats are horrible and his kickoffs are worse.

Weird!

Would prefer to try out a cold weather kicker. Crosby coming from Colorado probably helped him.

It will be interesting to see what other kickers are brought into camp. The job is wide open for the first time in 16 years.

Have to say, this one has some real intangibles to it. Bad accuracy, torn ACL, average distance on kickoffs. Is his agent Jeff Schwartz?

What a weird profile for a drafted kicker, including his brother being one of the best in the league

Where is the evidence that he's got a big time leg?? I genuinely would love to see it. Seems like he's average on kickoffs and terrible from distance? But he makes up for it by shanking extra points?

I've also seen stuff on twitter about good kickers who were cut and then found success with later teams. Fine, but you'll never guess who else was cut.
