Re: Packers News, Trades, Transactions - Campbell on Covid List
Any news on last nights injuries: Billy Turner, EQ, Daffney, and Malik Taylor?
Along with the longer term injured? Bahk, Z, and Jaire(practicing at least)
*edit* Doh!!! What about Rogers toe? First post-game news makes it sound worse, to the extent he may need to do surgery after-all (MJS and CBSsports reports)

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We'll probably need to win out given Tampa's schedule

We should be favored in every game for the rest of the season after this week.

I can't believe we have not signed Tyler Ervin.
He must be out of shape or something. Just strange!

Bring in Charles Woodson just to fair catch. (Locked on Packers mentioned that).
Seriously we don't need another yard on punt returns.
Just secure the damn ball!

Get rid of the returner, send the extra man at the punter.

This. Amazes me that more teams don't value guaranteed possessions over minor advantages in field position. If the punter pins you inside the 10 just tip your cap and be glad you can still put your offense out there.

I'm at the point where I'd be cool with giving him a chance to go catch some punts.

In principle, I'll agree, considering this defective set up the Pack has fielded in this millenium. Still, you probably need to keep a safety in place to reduce the likelihood of a fake punt. If there's no one backing the line more than 5 yards, or so, even the most conservative coach is going to try something - That's too good of an opportunity to pass up.

I've wondered why NFL teams don't go for all out blocks more and this definitely could factor in. My other theory is coaches are scared to death about roughing the punter, if you do its basically a turnover.Treebeard wrote:WRau1 wrote:Get rid of the returner, send the extra man at the punter.

Yeah, I think that makes sense. Let's say it is 25% of getting a block which may or may not change the line of scrimmage much, 25% you rough the punter, 5% chance the punt gets off fine, 25% chance they fake punt you for a first time. Now I know these aren't legit %, but in this scenario, if all things were equal, you have 1 out of 4 options that are really good, 1 neutral and 2 bad.
Given we can't even field an average ST, I suspect we would see a whole lot of bad outcomes.
