Ripkowski was on KC's practice squad last year. Might still be in shape.

Maybe they'll throw Sternberger back there for FB duties

I know it's hard to compare across eras, but to me Hornung and Marshall Faulk are the two most versatile running backs in history. Way ahead of his time.

Heisman winner as a QB, All around back - and damn good at it for the Packers, and the 176 point 1960 season (TD's, FG's, and PAT's) that stood as the league record for nearly five decades - and that done in a 14 game season.

*edit* there's also the lost time he had for the gambling suspension and military service during his prime years.

Willie Wood, Willie Davis, Herb Adderley, and now Paul Hornung. Lots of Packers from the Lombardi era have passed away this year.

The only player to win the Heisman from a team with a losing record (2-8). During that season he led his team "offensively in passing, rushing, scoring, kickoff and punt returns, and punting. He also played defense and led his team in passes broken up and was second in interceptions and tackles made."

Bakh extended 4 years at 23M a season. Huge.

I would hope to crikeys that Russ Ball has gamed this out... Supposedly, they've been working on Bahk and Jones, in good faith, for months.

Probably means that King and Linsely are gone

Holy crap, for kicks I looked ahead to next year's schedule. We have the NFC West and AFC North. Plus NFC South and East team that finishes in the same place as we do (likely first). That means home games against Steelers, Rams, Seahawks, Browns, road games against Ravens, Cardinals, Niners and Bengals. Plus division games.

Notice Rodgers was very careful in his response to re-signing Jones.

I am shocked they signed Bakhtiari to that deal.

I think they end up franchising Aaron Jones. If nothing else that's a 1 yr 10 mil deal.

King is gone. As good as he is, he can't stay on the field and someone is going to pay him stupid money.

That Bak deal is a bad deal. We paid over market value to keep him and he will be on the wrong side of 30 next year. O-line isn’t impactful enough position for $23 million per year.

This has to be signaling Rodgers is gone after next season.
