It happens but it would be tough to make it work.

If Rodgers leaves, I'm sure there are a million ways to do it.

For instance....renegotiate with Clark (along with others) and cut enough people to get under the cap for the amount of the franchise tag and whatever else is needed. Then trade Adams for picks, now the salary of his tag is off the books......now use that money to retain Jaire and whoever else you need...or extend Jenkins.

Either way there is no way Adams should walk for no compensation.

Yeah there are always ways to get cap space. Jaire's cap number goes from $3.8 million this year to $13.3 million next year, the final year of his deal. You could get that down with an extension. But we'll also be looking to extend Jenkins and Gary.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Obviously they think he can return or they wouldn't have activated him and it's 3+ weeks until the first playoff game if we get the bye.

I just feel like the FO and Rodgers have had discussions about the cap and what it'll take to keep a lot of these guys together. That has to play into Rodgers admitting he's going to be quick about his decision. My bold prediction for 2022 is if Rodgers stays they renegotiate a large chunk of his money (Idk how they actually do this in the nfl). No way Rodgers comes back if Davante is gone

It's pretty amazing what the Packers have done on the oline this year. They are so damn good at scouting and developing lineman.

I know it's early, and conditions aren't ideal, but I don't think Jordan Love is it. Putting this hot take out in the universe for potential ridicule later.

Why? Accuracy issues. That's tough to teach - in most cases, you either have it or you don't. I could just be lucky, but I thought Favre was going to be huge in the 92 preseason, thought Brunell and Hasselbeck would be good early, and thought Rodgers had all the tools, but just needed the game to slow down (though I didn't think he'd be the GOAT). I don't see that from Love, but I suppose greatness could have many paths.

And so Rodgers might be a goon about the pandemic, but he's a damn treasure as a QB. Don't take him for granted - we will not see this level of play for a very long time, if ever again.

If we trade him for a haul, at best we become a dominant defense that can make an occasional playoff run if healthy, but never a perennial contender (like the 49ers or Browns).

We need to do whatever it takes to keep him. The brass better not get cute and think a few first round studs (maybe) is going to replace what he does.

Man. I think accuracy is important but I don’t see why it isn’t a skill that can improve.

Now pocket presence and keeping eyes downfield is really important and he has that.

I also like that he was doing the RPO and getting really good quick and accurate throws out on the first couple of passes. I’m not sure what he will become but the more I see him the more I am seeing good foundational pieces to him.

Anyone drawing any sort of conclusions on Love at this point either way is pure silliness.

If the Packers were bringing everyone back, Wilson would be a nice option. But the situations just don't match up. Nothing about GB's market would (apparently) appeal to Russ, and it's hard to see why Rodgers would agree to an extension with Seattle. They've blew it building their team over the last five seasons.

Russ has talked about winning alot more than where hes playing.
So if winning in numbero uno for him than GB would be a great place for gim.(i know this would never happen. He will be in chicago minny or pitts way before hes ever here

I'd be worried about trading for Wilson just because he absolutely sucks at Lambeau
