Darnold's really the only dude that looked like an epic bust right away before sitting for a few years and developing like he should have from the beginning.

Baker was decent in Cleveland but never this good, same for Goff in LA. Which is why both of those were trying to upgrade on them. Baker also then went to Carolina as well. We'll see if what Daniel Jones is doing is sustainable but he was definitely written off as a bust. Of course some QBs might just be bad(Anthony Richardson), but I think this season is showing the difference between good organizations for QBs and bad ones.

Oh bad organizations can absolutely ruin a young QB. I just don't think any of those besides Darnold are good examples. I don't think Daniel Jones is playing at any drastically different level than he was in 2022 when even the Giants finally realized "hey, just focus on managing the game and using your mobility" and led them to within a game of the NFCCG. Only difference is that he now has a way better defense and a wealth of skill position weapons around him.

Scheme and organization matter in the NFL. Not exactly ground breaking news

There's still players that are busts because they just dont have that "it" to make it in the NFL

To my eyes, Justin Fields often looked lost in Chicago, mostly ignored in Pittsburg, and regressing in New York

To be fair none of those organizations are known for developing QBs

Idk man, nobody this year thought any of those guys would be playing anywhere near the levels they are at. All had to take 1 year prove it deals at some point to get another shot as a starter

To me that speaks to much more about, if you have the right infrastructure and personnel, you can get top-tier QB production from any half-way decent starter in this league. Beyond the past 15-years or so, you'd never have these mediocre QB's tossing for nearly 4,000 yards and posting triple-digit QB ratings. The elite tier guys simply stood out more on the merits of pure arm talent rather than check-downs, inflated completion percentage, and college air raid schemes. I mean, are we all of a sudden gonna say that Mac Jones is "good" now just because he gets to play in Shanahan's offense and hand the ball off to Christian McCaffrey? Jones was legitimately saddled with one of the most talent barren offenses the last few years in New York. It's not that much of a surprise that he's on pace for 4,000 yards and like 22-25 TD's now that he actually has good weapons around him.

I mean good organizations put good infrastructure around their QBs? So whichever word you want to use is fine. The point rather is all of these QBs were close to be written off as starters and are now playing at very high levels

I love it's being called the Icy Hot Bowl tonight.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Not a fan of Steelers playing today and us having a late Sunday afternoon game before we face off next week.

It seems like these teams really get up to play us then make dumb mistakes against everyone else.

Washington had three dumb azz turnovers vs the Bears, basically unforced.

Bengals RB drops a wide open pass that would've at least gotten them to FG range, special teams punt coverage runs straight into the returner for a penalty. I feel like since we got Parsons every team plays us like it's their Superbowl.

Heavy rain and 50 MPH winds expected in Cleveland for the Browns/Dolphins game. Can't wait.

The expedited review needs to be used every time. It's quick and accurate. No reason to have the ref looking at a little monitor talking to NY

What a great pick by Turner. That's 2 for Rodgers.

Flacco is balling. I have to imagine Browning is now having a traumatic existential crisis.

Winning by 9 last week doesn't look so bad right

Darnell Washington and DK duo gives so much size and strength. Going to be tough to stop them both next week, and they both block very well.
