I am just in complete agreement with sdn40 that you don't go in your press conference and blatantly state that it was 100% about the money and that's all I cared about.

If it was only about money and not at all about also remaining a Packer, Bakhtiari could instead have chosen to enter free agency where i think odds are good that he'd have received an even bigger contract.

It’s Bakh’s right to say whatever he wants, however, I just think it’s in poor form and immature. You can say it’s all about the money but then don’t complain when a team doesn’t resign or cuts you because of the money.

I’m more of a ‘go about your business and let your performance speak for itself’. Why open yourself up to unwanted criticism?

Packers claim DL Anthony Rush off of waivers
Rush was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2019.

The Green Bay Packers have claimed DL Anthony Rush off of waivers from the Chicago Bears. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Monday.

Rush (6-4, 361) was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 2019. He played in 13 games for the Eagles and Seattle Seahawks, recording 15 tackles (eight solo), four tackles for a loss, a half-sack, a QB hit and two passes defensed. As a rookie, Rush was released by the Eagles after training camp, signed to the Oakland Raiders' practice squad and signed to Philadelphia's active roster in late October, where he went on to play in nine games. This year, Rush was released by the Eagles after training camp and signed to the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad and then to the Seahawks' active roster, where he saw action in four games before being released. He then spent a couple of weeks on the Bears' active roster in November before being released. Rush will wear No. 79 for the Packers.

Woof... I had to think on the 361lbs. How many times could you say that if a guy dropped 60-70lbs, he'd still be a massive human being?

I'd assume he's exclusively for returns beside maybe replacing whatever the hell equanimious was trying to do on his runs last night.

I wonder if we could still go after him. I think the Austin move is more indicative of where Ervin is health wise. My guess is he goes on IR soon.

Pretty excited about Austin. Looks like a supped up version of Ervin that can return kicks.

Yep, signing Austin is a good move. Ervin can't stay healthy and Sheperd is probably not even just a guy at the NFL level.

I'd definitely take a look at Still as well. IR Ervin for Austin and cut Shep for Stills and we have upgraded two roles on the roster for dirt cheap.

Wonder if they knew when they decided to put him on the market. Like something was in the middle of being appealed.

How much disclosure of known events is required? (by known, I mean the GM or a coach is aware on some level)

Yeah I don't know the protocol with that but the fact teams were offering anything leads me to believe other teams didn't know. There's no way you give up a 3rd if you know he's getting a 6 game suspension.

Man, not making that trade for Fuller was a huge dodge of a bullet. He was only going to be on the active roster for 8 regular season games max as it was...

Shepard adds absolutely nothing to this team, and he's been poor in ST's. Last year we were on pace for the worst STs return game in NFL history until Erwin came along.

And what did we do to bolster the returner position this year? Well we kept Shepard as the #2 returner. :nonono:

Looking forward to Austin helping out on STs.

The Texans knew Fuller was under investigation and could be suspended and they cut Stills anyway. That to me is a big red flag.

Or they knew the hammer was going to come down from the league and knew trading him would look incredibly bad, so both teams went along with the compensation excuse instead.

From what I've heard it sounds like the Stills release was him asking out and them granting his wish.
