Sounds like Amari slimmed down. Hoping that gives him some more speed and wiggle.

The Green Bay Packers have signed LS Jack Coco and released T Jahmir Johnson. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.

Coco (6-2, 248), an undrafted rookie out of Georgia Tech, participated in the Packers' rookie minicamp earlier this month. He played in 39 games with two starts during his four seasons with the Yellow Jackets (2018-21), serving as the team's long snapper (2018-20) and also seeing time at tight end, where he posted five career receptions for 26 yards (5.2 avg.). Coco will wear No. 56 for the Packers.

Really hoping he sticks, so I can make "I'm in love with the..." jokes

Also should've picked number treinta y ocho

Jack (&) Coco

I’ll be here all week.

Anyways, sign Kevin King for depth on a minimum deal.

Ramsey and Garvin being out is a surprise. You'd think they would want to maximize their reps, especially with a new draft pick in the room (Enagbare), who somewhat dropped in the draft and will have an even bigger chip on his shoulder coming in.

Thought Garvin showed some flashes last season when given the opportunity. Not saying he's a lock but I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't make the 53-man roster given how thin we are at the edge.

That would be my guess. They kept about 6 d-lineman all last year under Barry. Right now I have Clark, Lowry, Wyatt, Reed and TJ Slaton on the 53 with Ford, Heflin and Chris Slayton fighting for the last spot.

Clark, Lowry, Wyatt, Reed and Slaton is the most talent this D-line has had in a long time.

I am fine if Rodgers doesn't want to be at voluntary camp.

I just don't want to hear any whining from him if he has not developed a bond with any of the new wrs. There is a reason Brady went to voluntary camo in 2020, Stafford went in 2021, and Russ is going this year. I understand these situations are not completely parallel, but it is close enough imo.

I am intrigued with Slaton. He showed some flashes last year and if he can evolve we are set.

Not keen on him staying out. He's got a fundamentally different situation with all of his receivers, and maybe even with the overall offensive plan. Rogers may not need the reps, but his receivers, especially the new guys need his presence - period.

The only useful thing from his absence, is any benefit Love derives from being the in-camp #1 QB - for whatever that may be worth.

Rodgers not being present with the WR corp overhaul is disappointing.

Bakh still out over a year and a half later. That is concerning.

I've read a number of short news notes that Randall Cobb, in a low key way, reaches out to the new guys, trying to be helpful in getting them up to speed. Well done Mr. Cobb!
