I still think this team and the league is devaluing safeties to an extreme point. Maybe that means Collins or Weddle become enough of a value due to this devaluation for Gute to make the move, but the fact that we jettisoned every safety option we had this past year makes me wonder if we'll care enough to go for it.

I'd be surprised if we sign a top safety. I think we go for one in the draft. As much as I like Collins, I do also worry about his pass coverage. We'd need to pair him with someone with range back there. With all that said, I think improving the front seven makes the back end much better for whoever is starting for us at safety.

Titans, Raiders and Redskins were on that list.

IF the Raiders pick a QB in the draft and throw him into the fire, having AB could be an entertaining sideline and locker room watch....

Washington could well be a similar story.

IF AB plays nice, then it's a great deal; but I'm not sure how likely that will be. He's going to be pissed off going to crap teams, no matter what he has said.

You can ask Raven fans how they feel. They say it's obvious he was declining as the year went on

Tbf, I thought he was having a good year too but their reviews of him don't make me excited that he's available

I had that same reaction when I realized it's Shamrock Shake season.

An early 4th round pick for Ha-Ha was such a steal.

If we're gonna open the checkbook for a position of need.

Agreed, only thing to consider is the market for safeties is such that you can probably sign the two top safeties (Collins and Thomas) for less than it would cost for one of the top pass rushers.

Personally I would go after Fowler or Barr and one of the two aforementioned safeties.

Cameron Wake leaving the Dolphins. I'd be interested in him if he's cheap. Old as hell, but he's still solid like Peppers is

He's apparently on the way to the Bills, but the fact that we were in on him tells me that this is going to be an interesting offseason.
