They want to bring Rodgers back so its simple for me: 1st 3 rounds WR, TE, WR. Get him some more weapons and do this the right way for once. Our defense was not the issue.

I would take him with or without Rodgers. It would suck basically not having him for this year, but I think he is worth it.
I'd think he could be in our range considering his ACL injury. I hope that injury doesn't slow him down at all because he's a gamechanger.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft discussion
Reading about David Bahktiari's knee filling up with fluid during the Lions game has me spooked. Maybe we should consider another tackle in the draft? I do love me some Trevor Penning.

It's not just Bakhtiari too. We won't know how well Jenkins has come out of his injury, plus Turner is probably gone as a cap casualty. Turner has had an up and down history in GB, but his ability to shift spots has been real helpful at times.

I don't have any stats on hand, but it felt like when Turner plays RT he is very good. When he plays RG he is good. When he plays LT he is bad.
Is it possible his ups and downs were more of a result of where we were asking him to line up?

Could be. Which makes moving him there last week even more puzzling. Would rather have given Yosh the chance first with Turner back at RT. Oh well

For the hell of it, going forward I'm gonna assume we have the #9 pick.
I think they'll have their choice of the #1 WR, #1 LB, #1 IL, #1 DT.

Just for fun I did a mock with Denver's first three picks just to see what was available; I added
IDL - Jordan Davis from Georgia (scouting report reads a lot like Kenny Clark)
Edge - Jordan Paschal from Kentucky
LB - Christian Harris from Alabama
That would give us some really strong pieces to add to the defense, maybe retain Campbell. Then using our own picks;
WR - Treylon Burks from Arkansas (doubt he will be here, but he was available in the mock simulator, Mechie III was there as well)
TE - Trey McBride from Colorado
WR - Christian Watson from NDakota (better MVS? and solves the returner problem?)
I'd be feeling incredible with that kind of return in year 1 if we ended up trading Rodgers and Adams. Especially knowing we'd be getting more than just that.

I don't really know what to do with the NFL prospects from Georgia and I watched most of their games this year. As a whole they were so freaking good. You could make the case that Davis was the most dominant player in the sport for the first half of the season. Dean might have been better over the course of the year. They reminded me of Wilfork and Vilma. That said, Davis only played a third of Georgia's defensive snaps, and Dean probably isn't a good fit for a three man front.
But man. They were so good.

Davis is a Zion like boom/bust player. I think Davis could be the next best DT if he can keep his weight under control. Teaming him up with Clark would be crazy.

They’d be wasting 3 picks on guys that would never get targeted.

Why do you think they would never get targeted?

Because Adams is presumably still on the team.

Great point but I don't know if I buy it. I think if we had more talented #2 and #3 WR's they would get more looks. I mean there is a reason Rodgers isn't throwing to them more. I don't think MVS or Lazard is the answer. We need upgrades on both imo.

MVS, Cobb and Lazard are all guys Rodgers advocated for getting the roles they have. If he wants them and then doesn’t use them, that is on him. Not unusual for him to lock into guys when he gets tight.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft discussion
Aside from Adams, the Packers stable of WRs are mediocre at best. MVS and Lazard would be the 4th or 5th options on most other winning teams. Really too bad we couldn't have landed OBJ. Would've been a HUGE upgrade.

I have a draft crush on Hamilton. You could play him at linebacker, safety, put him in the slot, rush him. He's awesome.
