That is crazy! We obviously won't have the cap room, but that would have been a nice signing. Of course it would be nice to get Campbell back, but I am not sure he can duplicate what he did last year....and he is going to get overpaid by someone else.

With the fire sale in Seattle...maybe offer something for DK.

Especially if we can't work out a longterm deal with Davante it gives us leverage.

Dk is still young the fire sale is likely on older veterans that won't be worth paying in 2-3 years when Seattle is ready to compete again. If anything having young developing qbs will suppress dk's stats and make him more affordable when he signs his next contract.

God imagine being in this QB market. Trubisky, Mariota, Fitzmagic, Teddy, Jameis, Flacco. Only bright side is maybe an organization is desperate enough to give us a high pick for Love

I still think Trubisky has a chance to be a solid starting QB on the right team.

We all knew that deal was bad when he signed it. He can be an impact player if in the right defense, but giving a safety that much money was stupid.....it will end the same with Seattle and Adams.

I think Jevon Holland will be the best safety in the league in 2-3 years but still would not give him anywhere close to that deal.

More hokey-pokey soap opera in Dallas.....

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sued by woman who alleges he is her biological father
The lawsuit states that an 'exchange money for silence' settlement was negotiated between Jones and the woman's mother

Alexandra Davis, a 25-year-old Congressional aide who grew up in North Texas, has sued Cowboys owner Jerry Jones while alleging that he is her biological father. Davis' attorneys filed the lawsuit last Thursday in Dallas County court. The lawsuit was temporarily sealed Wednesday, and a hearing is scheduled for March 31, according to The Dallas Morning News.

According to court documents, Jones and Davis' mother, Cynthia Davis, reached a settlement to financially support the mother and child as long as they did not publicly identify Jones as the father. Davis, who was a year old at the time of the settlement, is asking the court to determine that she is not legally bound by the agreement between Jones and her mother if she were to attempt to legally establish that he is her father. Davis does not want to be sued or lose her financial trusts. Additionally, Davis is pursuing declaration from the court that such settlement agreements should be "unenforceable" in Texas.

Jones and Davis' mother began a relationship during the mid-1990s, according to curt documents. Alexandra Davis was born on December 16, 1996, and her mother and then-husband (who was estranged at the time) filed for divorce shortly thereafter. Genetic testing determined that he was not Davis' biological father. Jones, however, was informed by Cynthia Davis that he was the father of her new child; Jones responded by saying that he was unable to have children, according to court documents.

The lawsuit states that Jones and his lawyers negotiated a settlement that would "exchange money for silence." A breach of the deal would result in financial support being cut off and Jones or Donald Jack, Jones' lawyer, would sue.................

1. Entertaining soap opera, where the background shenanigans of the Dallas Front Office, rival that of the old "Dallas" TV series. They've had a couple of rounds of sexual harassment and voyeurism settlements by management in the last few months.

2. IF DNA analysis says Ms. Davis is Jerry's daughter, that has big time implications for team ownership. Jerry's no kid, so who inherits?

This one is heating up

Thus endeth the grand plan for lock-down defense. Didn't they send out a pile-o-picks for Mack? I haven't kept track of what the Bears are doing, but I think they've got other potential cap problems for their defense. Cleaning house on some of Ryan Pace's splashier moves?

Mack and Bosa are going to be nuts and there's rumors that the Chargers aren't done shopping.

I'm no lawyer, so I don't know. But.... If she's determined to be his biological daughter AND IF the court says she has legal standing apart from her mothers agreement, then this thing could get real messy, Will or not.

I'm no lawyer either but I'm pretty sure Jones can divide his estate up however he wants and not have to include any kin.

The "messy" part would be how this effected any non disclosure agreements he had with her mother and her trusts.

This isnt going to affect who gets the team when Jones passes on in the slightest unless Jones wants to put her in his will

Bears waving the white flag. Again.

Pathetic.
Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.
