I was offered Tom Brady and Isaiah Crowell in exchange for my Melvin Gordon and Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill is primarily my backup (Bortles), while Melvin is my #2 back (Zeke Elliott, Tevin Coleman, Derrick Henry, Rashad Jennings). Obviously this is a very nice upgrade at QB, but I generally feel content with Bortles, and think the combo of Zeke and MG3 has been a ++ one thus far. Not that I think MG3 will keep scoring at a record-breaking clip, but I don't have much faith in Crowell keeping his production up with the Browns' offense.
Thoughts?
Jump at it. I think Crowell is the better option moving forward.
Gordons Opponent Ranks YPC: 27th, 14th, 28th, 26th, 30th
Crowells Opponent Ranks YPC: 12th, 7th, 20th, 32nd, 11th
Somehow Gordon is still averaging 3.4 ypc vs. Crowell's 5.6. All things considered, if Gordon isn't getting into the endzone 7 times in 5 games, this isn't even a question. I like Gordon because he gets touches, but I still think the touchdowns make his situation look rosier than it should. The Badger connection doesn't help.
Even if you disagree, the gap between Bortles and Brady vs Crowell and Gordon still skews it in your favor.
