I'd bring Matthews back, as long as it's dirt cheap. Have him play predominantly inside and I think it could work out.

Would rather have Anderson anyways. Make it so!

Somewhat surprised we even entertained Manny Sanders. Figured he was out of our price range from the jump.

Robbie Anderson and Demarcus Robinson are the only 2 FAs right now id kick the tires on. This draft is just absolutely loaded at the position, another reason I’m surprised we even bothered talking to Sanders.

Would you guys trade a 2nd for Kennan Allen? I would in a heart beat. I would may be willing to pry with the 1st but after Hopkins went for marbles......

That's a tough call. We really need our draft picks. But Allen is a really good WR so wouldn't be opposed to it.

Absolutely any day i would n twice on Sunday SB caliper teams like NE have no problem trading DPs for upgrades at position of needs and allen is a absolute position of needs.I can bet that NE never had all their allotted draft picks cause they used them to always upgrade their roster.
The packers hang on to their DPs like its gold from fort knox.Hell i would trade 2 for allen

I wouldn't trade a 2nd for a rental. He's a FA after this year, and I doubt we would extend him.

4th, maybe a 3rd at most.

Didn't know that. Good point. Is Allen actually on the block?

Oh I thought he was still under his old extension. Hell I would give him a new extension. He is only 27.

I know our cap space sucks right now though.

Only area's I can see to get cap space is......

Figure out the Billy Turner/Lane Taylor Pam-Pam Dilemma
Figure out a Rodgers/Smith/Smith Restructure somehow.
Trade some draft picks away

We can get out of Turners deal next year but not this year really.

Good luck on convincing the Smiths to restructure a whopping one year into their deals comming of extremely productive seasons. Might as well ask Adams to restructure and Jones and Clark to accept extensions at 3 million a year too while we're at it if we are bringing up things that will never happen

Rodgers I guess could be possible if hes feeling generous but I wouldn't count on it

The only real way to open up more cap space without creating a significant hole would be to release Taylor. I would guess had they lured any of the players they have been linked to as showing intrest in he wouldve been the one cut but theres no reason to cut him without a deal in place.

I think pack r shopping and waiting on Taylor. No need to cut him now. Can wait til after draft or if any one of the wrs or other free agents are ready to sign for the right price.

I'm regards to restructuring I think the Smith bros Amos had roster bonuses due this week or coming up. Couldn't they have turned those into a signing bonus and extend the cap hit out towards the future? I know they did something with Rodgers right after the season to free up quite a bit of money.

They guarenteed Rodgers roster bonus which allowed it to be spread out among the remaining years. (it was spread out on last seasons cap also)

They probably couldve done something similar with last year's signings like the Smith's and Amos but then you're just extra screwed next year in regards to the cap. Also it would mean a larger cap hit for them should they decided to cut any of them going into their last years.

In short you can do it for momentary cap relief but doing more then sparingly is probably a bad idea.

We have players comming up that need to be resigned or we are creating more massive holes then the temporary cap relief would fill. (if they're creating cap space for more then 1 year deals that's just added cap for next season on the books)

As unsexy as it sounds it's time for bargain shopping vets and relying on the draft
