Rodgers has to lament the fact the club never gave him a Tucker or Micah at any point his last ten years here. Heck, I’m lamenting it.

Love was fantastic but he can go next level with those two gamechangers on his team.

They did. Jermichael Finley and Nick Collins just got hurt.

They gave him Charles Woodson.

He also had one of the best and most lauded receiving cores in the league. What is this rewriting going on  Nelson, Jennings, Jones, Finley was filthy - and then we added Randall Cobb. Yeah, injuries suck.

Yeah like, I totally get that end of McCarthy/TT era from 2016-2018 where Ted got senile and Mac got stale wasn't great, but outside of that I'm not believing or re-litigating this "we never gave Aaron enough help" crap. Dude was incredible and the defense did let him down in multiple playoff games, but the defense ultimately wasn't the problem in 2014, 2020, and 2021 (aka probably our 3-best chances at a SB since 2011). All the while, the organization always kept the cupboard absolutely stocked with elite offensive weapons and a great O-line.

Good. Valentine got completely cooked by Pickens in Dallas, but otherwise he's been way better as the boundary corner. Hopefully Hobbs can settle in as a nickle

We never went all in for a trade of a defensive playmaker nor got a truly elite TE. (After Finley got hurt)

We lived off those early TT drafts where he had Schneider, Dorsey, McKenzie on his staff. Once those guys the team didn’t keep bringing in elite playmakers.

What "all-in" move even made sense? In 2017 for Khalil Mack? We tried but the Raiders simply liked the Bears offer better. The Micah trade was like a once every 20-years kind of player acquisition. Expecting that kind of player to ever be available can't be any sort of reasonable standard to hold the organization to. Gute went out and spent big money in free agency on Z, Preston Smith, and Adrian Amos that first MLF offseason. Even Ted went out and signed Julius Peppers who even older was still a Pro Bowl caliber pass rusher for us. They always invested plenty in the defense so this seems more like a "results over process" gripe.

None of them were first round picks though

That 4th down winner of LoveKraft last week may have been a bit of a turning point?

He said the last 10-years he was here so I'm assuming 2012 Woodson (36 years old) doesn't really count.

Not sure why Adams is just going to be forgotten

I'll give Malik Heath a nod of acknowledgement for being a guy on the bubble in August, to providing useful plays as reciever, blocker, an ST guy, especialy during Watson, Reed's, and Wicks injuries.

I was talking more defensive acquisitions in either free agency or trades but yes, omitting guys we drafted is obviously the weirdest thing about all this. Likewise with the "never used a 1st round pick on a WR" thing. Who gives a **** whether you draft a Pro Bowl player in the 2nd or 3rd round as opposed to the 1st? I got a lot of pushback when I said this team was a top SB contender even before the Parsons trade and I'm not sure why. This organization has a streak of drafting well and fielding SB caliber rosters for two straight decades outside of the aforementioned hiccups at the latter end of the TT/Mac regime.

He is now back to playing Nickel where he should have since the beginning but Bullard is in front of him on running downs, he will probably only see the field on obvious pass situations.

Thankfully Hobbs has now been relegated to spot duty in dime packages, but what a colossal waste of money when you could have just signed Tre'Davious White, Shaquill Griffin, or literally any other dude to a minimum one-year contract and gotten the exact same or better production. Him and Banks are the poster children for why you should almost never spend big in free agency just to backfill depth positions.

Will someone give me their thoughts on why Wilson and Parsons scored poorly. I can't help but think Jacobs isn't fully healthy(calf). Same for Golden. Nixon obviously had a horrible night. I feel like Valentine had a pretty good showing, and got challenged at times (being the replacement guy I suppose)
