I enjoyed reading his stuff over the years, especially when he was at SI. He was 56. RIP

I just saw that the Pat's were close to finalizing another extension for Brady.

That just can't be true.

Duke Johnson to the Texans for a 2020 4th that can rise as high as a 3rd.

The escalator on that trade is if Duke Johnson is active for 10 games. Woof.

He's so unbelievably talented. It's too bad it seems like he turned into a freaking nut case so quickly. Maybe it wasn't actually quick, but it sure seemed like it.

Dak would be lucky to get $20M a year. He's so unbelievably overrated. He's basically the Andy Dalton of the NFC - just good enough that you're too afraid to dump him, but not good enough to win you anything meaningful.

I think he's better than Dalton but I agree with your take. Ive never been overly impressed with Dak in terms of him turning into an all pro QB and if you think you're really worth 40m a year you better have all pro QB as your trajectory and he does not. Hopefully Jer Bear caves and gives Dak that money and they lose Zeke to the AFC. I would think that would set Dallas back significantly.

https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/bears-practice-report-kyle-longs-2nd-fight-4-days-whitehair-leaves-hurt-hand-and-strong-day

For the third time in three practices, the Bears’ practice was interrupted by two players getting into a fight. Wednesday night’s was the most intense yet, as Long and defensive lineman Jalen Dalton started shoving as a play ended during the team’s scrimmage. Long ripped off Dalton’s helmet and started to hit the undrafted free agent with it before tossing it off the field. The altercation was the second in three practices for Long, who did not return after. (He also appeared to get physically sick on the sidelines minutes later.)

“Well I mean we all saw what we saw and I saw the same thing,” Matt Nagy said after practice. “So you know I'm going to keep that between us internally. But it was just disappointing, you know, but we'll handle that internally and make sure that we do it the right way.”

That veteran leadership though.

Chargers have the worst injury luck by far.
