Will someone give me their thoughts on why Wilson and Parsons scored poorly. I can't help but think Jacobs isn't fully healthy(calf). Same for Golden. Nixon obviously had a horrible night. I feel like Valentine had a pretty good showing, and got challenged at times (being the replacement guy I suppose)

Wilson got knocked hard for his pass blocking, they had him as an average runner

Parsons got an average run defense grade which I think is fair, but they also only gave him an average grade as a pass rusher which I disagree with hard. And it's kinda weird because he tied Gary for the team lead in pressures(albeit in more snaps)

Could be that he's hurt but I'm not sure why we dismissed "Jacobs Watch" so early. Almost half-way through the season and he's still averaging 3.6 yards a carry. Wilson has looked more effective running the ball and I'm a little surprised this was the first game where they've given him double digit touches. We're gonna need to keep Josh fresh for the playoffs.

Holding them to 1/10 on third down is huge. Honestly, that's the stat that sticks out to me most.

Too many times in the past we get teams to third and long then collapse. Even happened a few times last week against Arizona.

Also said he's heard the go pack go chant for 18yrs.

Pretty cool of him acknowledging the fans.

Ha he was pretty pissed as he walked off...no special acknowledgement to the Packers fans trying to get his attention (understandably!).

Could not agree more.

This is a winnable game on Sunday WITHOUT Jacobs and I'd severely limit his touches to try and get him healthier.

Wilson is averaging 4.6 yards on his 35 carries, including in garbage time when the D knows GB is going to run.

The OLine has to block better, but anyone with vision can see Wilson is much more explosive than Jacobs so far in 2025.

Would love to see the mythical 2024 3rd round creature Marshawn Lloyd, but it has been 2+ months since his last fleeting appearance at this point, so not holding out much hope.

? Wilson did play well yesterday, seemed like his confidence grew after some good gains. And yes, would love to spell Jacobs throughout the season with Wilson or Brooks or Lloyd.

But much more explosive than Jacobs? Jacobs is balling this season, plenty explosive, even though he didn't have his best overall game yesterday. A sure thing in the red zone, and dynamic for the whole field.

They did. Jermichael Finley and Nick Collins just got hurt.

They gave him Charles Woodson.

Also, for anyone with amnesia, at the end Rodgers demanded the packers resign guys on offense that he wanted (Cobb, etc). He had some responsibility as well as the org.

The evidence that it's an O-line problem: Jacobs is averaging only 1.8 yards before contact per rush attempt. 8th worst amongst qualified ball carriers (50 attempts).

The evidence that it's also a Jacobs problem: He's only averaging 1.8 yards after contact and 31 rush attempts per broken tackle. Both ranking 33rd amongst qualified ball carriers (last year he averaged 2.4 yards after contact, and 8.6 attempts per broken tackle).

Either way you slice it, outside of being a great TD vulture, he's not running the ball very hard or effectively right now.

Every now and then you can see the explosivness with Jacobs but just pulling a rough number out of my head on at least 70% of his runs he just looks like hes running in mud

Could he have a undisclosed iniuring and hes going to look like last years bell cow again? Sure

But its also very possible what's happening is what happens to pretty much every RB with x amount of touches

With GB calling about Achane (a RB who is have no idea why Miami would even consider trading given his age/contract and is imagine they'd know wouldn't be "cheap" to aquire in any circumstance) id have to think the GB brass is inclined to think father time is doing what father time does

Assuming Jacobs wouldnt be sent to Miami-That'd be one heck of a duo in the backfield. Would Rival what DET has in Sonic/Knuckles

And his contract is ugly according to Spotrac. His dead cap hit is 12M if they cut next offseason, and 8M if they cut him the year after. They are basically stuck with him.

Meh hes prolly disappointed and I think the dweeb bettors have been on him for not hitting his over last night. Do have to find a way to get him involved down the field more IMO.

Jacobs looks cooked. For running backs it happens extremely quickly. He'll have to be replaced next spring.

He was also listed as questionable due to some type of injury in the leadup to the game, so performance wasn't what he hoped for. He's probably been a star at every level, til he gets to the NFL. He will need to adapt his mind to that change.

I'll wait until his calf is healed before writing him off. He's 27 not 30. Sure you can find examples of RBs who fall off at 27. And many who did not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Maybe the biggest example of a RB falling off a cliff is Shaun Alexander. He had 1704 carries prior to the season his career took a nose dive. Jacobs has 1730. He's got serious tread on the tires.

It's not so much career carries as it is a lot in a short time span. I think it is even referenced as the "Larry Johnson" rule. He had 336 carries in '05, 416 in '06, and then his career took a nosedive.
