I just want confirmation from Rappaport that we are out of the Bell sweepstakes at this point.

After that lock Wilkerson and Breeland up to one year deals and call it a day till the draft

Oof, well, that's a lot of moves to digest in the span of a couple hours. Gute is definitely trying to set his own tone as GM. Remains to be seen how it all works out.

Preston Smith for $16M guaranteed seems like a very reasonable gamble. Adrian Amos seems like a solid contract by comparison some of the other safety contracts handed out yesterday, and he's known for being very reliable in coverage.

I don't know what the figures are on Za'Darius Smith - I am worried that he's a one year wonder. Billy Turner seems like a lot of money, but frankly, we needed a good RG to help bolster that side of the line.

Interested in Barnwell's analysis when it comes up.

Looks like Bell might be following Brown to the Raiders.

This is what you have to do when you draft like poop. It's risky yes but to me it's less risk than assuming a rookie is going to come in and start at edge or OL or wherever.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Not trying to pick on anyone but I don't understand why everyone keeps referencing the total deal amounts. NFL reporters are guilty of this too. It's all about how much of the deal is guaranteed money/being paid in the first couple years.

You're right it's all about the guarantee. But that does seem high for a backup swing tackle and guard. The next few days we will have a better idea once the number leak.

Pay to stop playing musical chairs with the OL. Protect Rodgers with experience.

I still keep seeing things about Le'veon Bell and the Packers on Twitter. Where would we get money for that? Bulaga cut next?

While Geronimo and the rookies have potential I'd like to get a legit #2 receiver. I don't know who that is though.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Does this mean anything regarding Bulaga? When he's healthy, he's good, but the mileage seems to be adding up. Also, he's a UFA next year, I believe

Bulaga and you'd have to think Tramon is gonna get cut.

Is that the potential "blow-it-up-window"? Rogers is under contract for another year after that?

I think you hope one of MVS or St. Brown can develop into one. I'm not really sold on any of the receivers in the draft. Metcalf is a physical specimen but I have concerns about him, same with Brown, Harry, Hollywood, Butler, Harmon etc.

I think they need a golden tate. Perfect slot receiver. That would leave mvs and Allison on the outside and brown kumerow next. Not sure if they can get the money for tate though

Same. I have a basic understanding of what market value is relative to position, but I won't pretend to know whether these deals are great or not. So much of what makes a player good in today's NFL is scheme and matchup based. Also a lot of money for ZaDarius. You just hope that we're set at pass-rusher now.

Think the Amos deal is great. One of the best deals in FA so far.

They got 10.5 sacks from Fackrell. These guys are better than him.
