I'm almost never a fan of mid-season firings, but you can certainly argue that keeping him even these last 2-3 games is actively hurting your team and the development of the young guys. Like, I'm not under any illusion that Jerry Montgomery is gonna fix any of this stuff, but he could at least provide that short-term morale boost simply by "not being Joe Barry". It can't get any worse.
To my mind, there's also the tone-deaf look to MLF's comments about holding Ja accountable, while looking the other way for Barry's failings.
I know their situations are different from the outside, but probably not viewed so different by the players.
