Re: Game 13: Bears at Packers
The replay shows no chance Williams can get to the first.
But does show Moore slipping open but would’ve been a tough throw and catch.

There's no good angle for it but I thought trying to thread it through the two defenders to Moore was his best option. Felt the second best option was to try to lob it over the defenders' heads to Moore but that's more complicated because it tends to turn receivers around on throws like that. Moore was the last option if the run or throw wasn't there but you don't expect a corner on the other side of the formation to make it over to Loveland, so I see why Williams thought he had him for the TD.

Or Parsons gets one.....maybe ONE freaking holding call????
That hold on the Bears final drive really pissed me off. You have to call that. Mixed with Musgrave's catch which they called a drop and a fumble by Loveland which they called incomplete.

Re: Game 13: Bears at Packers
From Acme. Snap counts
Quarterback
Jordan Love: 52 snaps
Malik Willis: 0
Running Back
Josh Jacobs: 37
Chris Brooks: 8 (15 SPT)
Emanuel Wilson: 8 (5 SPT)
Now that starting running back Josh Jacobs is healthy, Emanuel Wilson’s snap count is starting to drop again. His special teams snaps are up, as he’s filled in as a backup returner with Savion Williams out, but those should drop back down when Williams returns from his injury. If the Packers end up activating MarShawn Lloyd, it could put Wilson’s roster spot at risk, like how the elevation of Jayden Reed meant the end of Malik Heath on the 53-man roster.
Receiver
Christian Watson: 44
Romeo Doubs: 42 (4 SPT)
Jayden Reed: 25
CB Bo Melton: 9 (11 SPT)
Dontayvion Wicks: 5
Mathew Golden: 5
The only surprise here is that Jayden Reed was able to be so active in his return to the team. Moving forward, the Packers’ outside receivers will be Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson with Reed in the slot. Cornerback Bo Melton, Dontayvion Wicks and Matthew Golden will rotate in as the WR4-WR6 with Savion Williams being the WR7.
Tight End
John FitzPatrick: 29 (4 SPT)
Josh Whyle: 21 (7 SPT)
Luke Musgrave: 21
Luke Musgrave made some plays down the field this week, but he was still third in the pecking order in terms of the tight end rotation. As of now, the team is really gameplanning their tight end usage, with John FitzPatrick mostly being used on run downs and Musgrave mostly being used on passing downs.
Offensive Line
Anthony Belton: 52 (4 SPT)
Aaron Banks: 52 (4 SPT)
Rasheed Walker: 52 (4 SPT)
Sean Rhyan: 52 (4 SPT)
Zach Tom: 52 (4 SPT)
Darian Kinnard: 6 (4 SPT)
Jordan Morgan: 0 (4 SPT)
Jacob Monk: 0 (4 SPT)
The starting offensive line of Rasheed Walker-Aaron Banks-Sean Rhyan-Anthony Belton-Zach Tom (left to right) again played every snap of this game. Darian Kinnard got six looks on offense, but as the team’s sixth offensive lineman, essentially playing a tight end role.
Defensive End
Micah Parsons: 59
Rashan Gary: 39
Kingsley Enagbare: 37 (8 SPT)
Barryn Sorrell: 11
Arron Mosby: 0 (20 SPT)
When Lukas Van Ness returns to the gameday roster, the Packers will have an interesting problem to solve. Arron Mosby plays a ton of special teams snaps, and well, but the team doesn’t use him on defense. Meanwhile, Barryn Sorrell rotates in a bit on defense, but he has slowly been phased out of the kicking game. Would the team healthy scratch Sorrell to keep up a special teams contributor in Mosby? We’re about to find out.
Rashan Gary continues to share the load with Kinsgley Enagbare, who not only is playing roughly as many snaps as Gary on defense but is also contributing on special teams — notably as a protection player on the punt team.
Defensive Tackle
Karl Brooks: 46 (5 SPT)
Colby Wooden: 42 (5 SPT)
Warren Brinson: 26 (3 SPT)
Jordon Riley: 14 (3 SPT)
It looks like the Nazir Stackhouse experiment is over. After weeks of having five defensive tackles up on gameday, the Packers elected to make Stackhouse a healthy scratch on Sunday, allowing Jordon Riley, who was claimed earlier in the week, to suit up for the team. Quinton Bohanna, who was added mid-week, should also get some looks down the stretch, too.
For the most part, this lineup looked like what we expected following the injury to Devonte Wyatt. Karl Brooks was the team’s starting under tackle, with Colby Wooden starting as the nose tackle. Warren Brinson filled in behind Brooks, while Riley filled in behind Wooden.
Linebacker
Edgerrin Cooper: 68 (1 SPT)
Quay Walker: 68 (3 SPT)
Isaiah McDuffie: 36 (20 SPT)
Ty’Ron Hopper: 1 (17 SPT)
Kristian Welch: 0 (7 SPT)
The Packers played more than half of their snaps in this game in their 4-3 base defense, which is why Isaiah McDuffie’s snaps were so high. Ty’Ron Hopper’s one snap in this game came in a goal-line look. Kristian Welch, a heavy special teams contributor, left the game early with a concussion. If he’s out next week, look for Jamon Johnson to get called up from the practice squad to backfill for Welch’s snaps, who is backfilling for the injured Nick Niemann.
Cornerback
Carrington Valentine: 67
Keisean Nixon: 65 (3 SPT)
Nate Hobbs: 9
Kamal Hadden: 0 (10 SPT)
Carrington Valentine and Keisean Nixon continue to start at outside cornerback, but Nate Hobbs was sprinkled in on defense in his return from his knee injury. Hobbs played two outside cornerback snaps when Nixon was pulled following a penalty, but his other seven snaps game in the slot on obvious passing downs.
Safety
Xavier McKinney: 68 (8 SPT)
Evan Williams: 67 (15 SPT)
Javon Bullard: 25 (5 SPT)
Zayne Anderson: 0 (17 SPT)
Kitan Oladapo: 0 (13 SPT)
Javon Bullard is no longer rotating in at the safety position and only played about one-third of today’s snaps because of how frequently the Packers played their base defense (without a nickel defender). On top of that, Hobbs stole some of those slot snaps away from Bullard, too.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

What a huge win. It's crazy that the Bears go from the 1 seed to the 7 seed with a single loss
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Re: Game 13: Bears at Packers
I’d really like to see Doubs snaps diminished. I think Watson, Reed, Wicks, and Golden are clearly the top 4. At this point Doubs really doesn’t bring much to the table.

I love Watson so much. Couldn't be happier for him. Evolving into an alpha.

We would be even more dangerous with Golden or Wicks getting the Doubs snaps.Doubs is a perfect number 3 imo. With Watson and Golden as 1 and 2 we would have 4.2 and 4.3 speed on the field at all times which would scare the hell out of defenses.

Re: Game 13: Bears at Packers
Fantastic win.
The holding on Micah is the worst I've ever seen.
Yet the team kept their poise and did what they had to do to win the game.
Love looks like he's got some weapons again!
The team is looking dangerous.
And we do need to balance out that run game, the D was definitely gassed in the second half.

Re: Game 13: Bears at Packers
I just wanna say... Unlike most years, this defense is coming up with big plays at the end of games.
Micah has had a couple sacks at the end of a game and Nixon tonight.
We spent what feels like decades watching our qb bail us out with a miracle only for the defense to give it away.
This season has been different.

1: Considering he made the big play its hard to come down too heavy on it but Melton out snapping Wicks is kinda mind boggling with how he played last week. Golden I assume was on a snap count but Wicks deserved more burn
2: I get it been talked about but the fact Gary cant play more then 65% of the snaps is just insanely frustrating. This has been a reoccurring thing for his career and for a guy that makes what he does should be inexcusable
3: God i hope they dont plan on having Hobbs start a time share with Bullard in the slot. Bullard has been really good there and Hobbs should only be used in case of emergency

I think Wicks came into this one pretty banged up, so not super surprised his snaps were low with Reed back

Apparently Wicks had an ankle injury.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Wasn't his man. He ditched his guy when he saw Kmet running free. Incredible play from him to close ground and come away with the ball.

Re: Game 13: Bears at Packers
Watching some Chicago YouTube channels and after listening to them talk about Williams i just can help but think "I get your guys bar for QBs is low but y'all should've at least seen what good QBs look like on other teams over the years. How is this fooling you?"trwi7 wrote:If that's a good Caleb Williams game I am extremely confident that the Bears don't have a franchise QB.
For heaven's sake some of those channels are litterally saying they think Williams is either "just behind" or "right there" with Love. Like I get home team blinders but damn
Ill stick to my comp. Calen Williams is a slower Kyler Murray. Hes going to make a few wow plays here and there. Might even have a nice few weeks stretch here and there. But after the novelty wears off your going to wishing your FO has the brains not to sign him to big money

We didn't get gashed on the ground but I thought we were dying a slow death especially on inside runs. Guys were wearing down because of those long drives and that's what kept the Bears in the game. The new guy Riley seemed to get pushed around a little bit but this is one of the best run OL they were up against. Let's see what big Bohanna (6'4 355lbs) can offer, that could help a lot on that front.
