Heard that too.

Yep. That was the rumor all week.

I'm assuming Love is going to be a hall of famer.

That's the thing though, Rodgers isn't going anywhere with the massive contract they have him. That's why I never thought they would make this pick. Unless Rodgers gets hurt (possible) or just totally loses it I don't see how Love is seeing the field anytime soon.

I'm just so tired of us neglecting mlb literally decade after decade now...Chargers trade up over us to get Murray, Steelers last year for Bush, Ravens perfectly fine with Queen...

I won't comment on Love. If we think he's a good QB, fine. Just tired of dumbass GMs/DCs that think ILB in a 3-4 isn't worth any type of significant resources.

They're. Flat. Out. Wrong.

He won’t smell the field for 3 years. Good thing is we’ll have much higher draft picks over those years.

Worked alright the last time. :dontknow:

some weird cargo cult logic, "well we did it with Rodgers"...

Rodgers was legitimately in the running to be the #1 pick that year and a MUCH MUCH better college QB as well, I don't see much comparison.

Of course, hope they're all wrong (again), but it will be entertaining either way.

I think the part that has me most upset with this is that we are punting on next year. We were 1 game from the Super Bowl, yet are so far from beating the 49ers last year. Oh well I guess, let’s just waste the last few remaining Rodgers years I guess.

Yup. Rogers competitive drive is still there, but does the body continue to hold up?

Still, I'd rather they pulled the trigger on a QB next year, or late rounds this year.

Will be interesting to see how Aaron handles this, since he was on the other side of this once. Does he act like Favre and go "I'm not paid to mentor a backup" and carry a grudge against the GM, or does he welcome Love as a teammate and act graciously and not like a d***?

I think he'll be gracious. More gracious than a lot of GB fans will be.

Rodgers is under contract for 4 more years. Can’t trade him for at least 2, too much cap hit. Gonna be an awkward couple years.

Rodgers keeps playing like he did last year it'll be in 2 years.

Jesting aside if the Packers are going to be drafting much higher based on a single draft pick they were probably going to such no matter who they took

Rodgers also didn’t throw 17 ints in a year at Cal. What makes Jordan Love our QB of the future?

I'm with you on ILB. Been driving me mad for years and years. They never take my guy and I wanted Queen this year.

WR probably would have been my back-up choice, but a 1R wasn't there for us (could have traded up). I can handle this as the option they went with and don't care if he doesn't play for a few years as long as they hit on the pick.

Let’s be honest. He probably will be a dick and hold a grudge. It’s kinda the way he is.
