            I keep reading articles about the players in this draft where the writers note considerable skills, but always offset by notable defects at most of the round 1 level. There's not even a clear cut consensus 1-2-3.  It makes me feel that much of the first round is a collection of good value depth, but with no homerun candidates.  That seems to be especially true of the top WR's and DL's (which the Pack needs of course)  
How true is that, versus nit-picking by the  scribes?
Also, I've seen several mocks done by different outlets, where if the Pack stands pat @ #21 Jahan Dotson is the guy.  As I've noted elsewhere, I don't have any serious knowledge of the real potential of these guys, but if all the perceived top-flight guys are already picked, Dotson kind of seems like the proverbial "lovely parting door prize".  A participation trophy, if you will.  How right/wrong is that notion?
