Ron Swanson wrote:I have no idea what more they expected to see from Pratt after spending a draft pick on him then. Like, you knew he was a project, yet he literally goes out and outplays Clifford snap-for-snap across 3 preseason games anyways, and you still prefer Clifford over him? Stupid. Like, it's a 7th round pick so no great loss, but what was the thought process here? Clifford is awful with zero upside.

I don't think this is about Clifford versus Pratt and it's more about Willis versus Pratt at this point. Clifford is staying for now because he knows the offense. I wouldn't be surprised to see him cut loose in a few weeks once Willis learns the offense. They just like Willis more than Pratt.

Anthony Johnson Jr getting cut was definitely a surprise. Zayne gives you more ST's upside, but still..

A little surprised King was cut.

Some questionable decisions imo. Not a fan of how today has gone

Bummer about AJ. He might not ever be able to play in the NFL again with those neck injuries. Definitely not something you want to take lightly.

Zayne Anderson making the team as a special teams only player over Anthony Johnson Jr. is the biggest surprise to me.

Hopefully he sticks around on the practice squad, same for Kalen King. A little surprised he got the quick boot also.

Wonder if they'll offer Dillon some type of injury settlement and give him a chance to sign somewhere else. I think they could do that, couldn't they?

I think the only two cuts that really perplexed me are Anthony Johnson Jr. and to a lesser extent, King. I think Johnson was a nice backup-spot starter in the backend. I'd be surprised if a team doesn't try and nab him. King was more up-and-down this preseason but thought he did enough to keep developing on the 53. Hopefully we can get 1 or both back on the PS.

Wow, didn't think Anthony Johnson would get cut. He made some plays this preseason.
