The Vikings extending Byron Murphy's contract by a day so they can assess the market for a day then make him a reasonable offer was genius. Nice contract and good value. They lost Cameron Bynum but signed Isaiah Rodgers to replace him. Adding Jonathan Allen and Hargrove to that Dline is impressive. Topping that off with the RG and Center from the Colts is impressive. A little of an overpay for Aaron Jones imo.

The Vikes still have a depth problem after whiffing on numerous draft picks. Their backup QB is Brett Rypien, Backup RB is Ty Chandler. Unless I am missing something on their depth chart, they have no backup tackles at this moment. And they have no 2nd rounder and only a 3rd round comp (essentially a 4th rounder), no 4th rounder, no 6th rounder, and no 7th rounder, to help build that depth. We kind of saw this in action last year when they lost Darrisaw and had to trade for Cam Robinson because they had no trust in their backups.

I give the Jets and the Colts credit for getting a head start on next years loaded QB class.

Safe to say that SF is burning the roster down to rebuild?

Here's a look at the list of players that definitely won't be returning to San Francisco this year:

WR Deebo Samuel: Traded to WSH
LB Dre Greenlaw: Signs with Broncos
S Talanoa Hufanga: Signs with Broncos
CB Charvarius Ward: Signs with Colts
G Aaron Banks: Signs with Packers
OT Jaylon Moore: Signs with Chiefs
RB Elijah Mitchell: Signs with Chiefs
FB Kyle Juszczyk: Expected to be released
OLB Leonard Floyd: ******* released
DT Javon Hargrave: Expected to be released
DT Maliek Collins: Expected to be released

If there is ANY chance to trade back out of the 1st round and pick up a future 1st from the Jets, Colts, Panthers, Titans, Raiders, Patriots, Browns, or Giants I am doing it.

Pick 23 and 2026 3rd round pick for pick 45 (or 42, 38, 37, 35 any of them) and 2026 1st

My lucky number is 23, but I still take that deal.

I saw this in the NYT mock draft today.

28. New York Jets (projected trade with DET): Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
(Jets trade Nos. 42 and 73 plus a 2026 mid-rounder to Detroit for No. 28)

It’s absolutely possible Sanders falls into the second round — his situation feels incredibly similar to what we saw with Will Levis back in 2023. Teams did not see Levis as a top-15 player, and most didn’t see him as a first-rounder.

It only takes one team, of course. Sanders is likely this draft’s best QB after Cam Ward, although the gap between the two is wider than many thought it’d be when the season ended. This scenario, with a team jumping back into the end of Round 1, could be how it plays out.

I'd prefer the 2026 first rounder, but I'd also probably do this.

Depending on who is there I would be looking to trade back and get a future first round pick from a bad team. Most believe the draft has a bunch of players with similar grades from picks 15 to 60. I mean you look at players like Azareye'h Thomas and he is mocked in the top 15 with some and end of the second round for others. That is not typical this time of year. If there is a way to get a 2026 first from a bad team, next year's draft class is so top heavy. You could either have your QB of the future (if Love isn't what we think he is) or trade that pick for a boatload of picks and set up your franchise.

Supposedly Bengals want a low second round pick or high third for Hendrickson.

I honestly would do it and give him a three year extension. Trade our second round pick for Hendrickson and a fifth or future sixth.

Yea, I'd definitely give up a day 2 pick for Hendrickson. Hes on the wrong side of 30 but if you can get him for his age 30, 31, & 32 seasons that is likely more production then most day 2 picks. They have the money to do it

Id trade out of the first for a high 2nd. Someone will want a QB on the 5 years.

If it's just our 2nd round pick for Hendrickson I'm doing that trade

Sure the extension is going to be in the Crosby range but he's one of the top 4 Edge players in the league. Dude is an absolute beast and assuming health not a doubt in my mind our D becomes the best it's been since the SB year

(not for nothing but if they did that deal the only need going into the draft would be a deep threat WR. Opens up lots of options)

Packers drafted Stokes in the first, Raiders drafted Hobbs in the fifth of the same draft.

Now Packers sign Hobbs to 4/48 and Stokes goes to Raiders for 1year/4mil.

The Packers needed to move on, but I will always wonder what could have been with Stokes. He was so good as a rookie before the injuries just completely sapped his athleticism.

Cutting an overpaid, over the hill, often injured Von Miller to sign Joey Bosa makes a lot of sense.

Return to Green Bay Packers
