Really sounding like Gilmore, Barron, Floyd and Tannehill could all go Top 10. If the Rams, Jags, Phins and Panthers picks all come and go without a DT/DE/OLB being taken, our chances of landing an impact guy for our front 7 increase dramatically.

Lots of "trigger points" in round one to look out for that can really make or break our luck of landing an impact player at 28.

McGinn

ASU LB Vontaze Burfict yesterday's news, I know. Burning question isn't if he'll be drafted. It's if any team will sign him as free agent.

While on the subject, this is a must read.

I heard Upshaw's stock is dropping quite a bit as well because in the 3/4 scheme he can't drop and there are some issues against the run, with his weight, committment etc.. When TT drafted Matthews the packers made it clear they wanted OLB's with vesatility, can rush/cover, and most importantly played some form of 3/4 in college. It is a big risk to take a guy who has had his hand in the dirt his entire career not knowing if he can make that switch, especially with a high pick.

I like McClellin a lot but Ted might have to trade up to get him, if he doesn't and Shea is gone I could see Ted trading back with Cleveland into the early second round and drafting Ronnell Lewis, who also fits the description of what ted likes. This is of course assuming Ted wants an OLB with the first pick, which could turn out not being true.

A guy who I really like in the second round is Billy Winn, fits that big 3/4 DE with a motor and is nasty....I realize I like 2 Boise State guys, but they did have a very good front seven.

Some rumors are saying Houston as well.

AdamSchefter: Teams open to trading up if right player is there include Jacksonville, Buffalo, Philadelphia, San Diego, New England, Green Bay.

AdamSchefter: Teams open to trading back for the right offer include Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Miami, Seattle, Dallas, NY Jets, Detroit.

I'm expecting a trade up to #26 for Shea.

Irvin's a guy projected to be a 2nd or 3rd rounder and I've never really understood it. I know the back story but I never got the impression he was a bad kid. Great combine, good size, versatile. Seems like he should have been in the mix with the other 1st rounders all along. Huh.

Cleveland is the bast trade partner for the Packers I heard holmgren would want to flip and get an additional 3rd.

Has anyone read Arrigo's OTS on PC? He thinks it will take a 4th and a 6th to move up from 28 to 22.

LOL, it would take nothing less than a 3rd.

Patty other there, who at least has some credibility, thinks the trade up target at 22 could be Brockers.

As for DB its about pass rush pressure. IMO our CB's will rebound and be OK and House will develop. At S no rookie seems worth a day 1or2 pick. Taylor & Bethel have value for our late 4th rd if there. Wonder IF House could play S?

DE, OLB, and Safety are our only holes. Everything else you're just looking for depth.

Yea, with his measurables and 22 sacks the last two years, i'll be surprised if he lasts further than say the top 10 picks of the second round.

I think OT is a concern as well.

True enough, but we're not going to spend the first on it.

I don't. I think we've got at least four options there, all at least adequate IMO, at least three with upside.

I've never heard him called versatile. I've heard the opposite, that he's a third down only guy.

Right now he's an ELITE situational pass rusher. Versatility is not a word to be used along with Irvin right now. One trick pony, which is attacking the edge with a vengeance. In time he could develop into a 3 down guy, but he isn't there yet, imo. WVU coaches are to blame for a lot of that though.

I would be terrified to go to WVU if I was a recruit after having seem them handle Irvin and Miller. Complete joke.
