I could see him being a correspondent for BarStool Sports before I ever see him at an ESPN roundtable.

I think they'll be more selective. It's been reported that Favre tried out for MNF and didn't get the gig. .

I find the idea of him wanting to be on MNF and being denied shocking. He is one of the most engaging people in the world, the idea that anyone thought Rex Ryan, Brian Greise or Trent Dilfer getting the gig in head of him makes my head hurt.

I don't actually think he'd be great in that kind of setting. When he's joking around with teammates? He's great. When he's being interviewed? He can give a nice quote. When you're asking him to sit and describe a play in a way that is clear and concise and interesting to the average viewer? Or be able to offer a back-and-forth with the likes of Mike Tirico? And then continue to do those things and more, over and over again, over a 3.5 hour game? My guess is that he falls short in that regard. Age has seemed to do a number on him, too.

I see him more in the John Madden role, reminiscing about yesteryear and telling funny stories. You could be right though

From the waaay outside, Rogers comes across as more analytical and articulate than Favre, but Favre is folksier and is usually a better storyteller than Rogers. Rogers always seems to have a chip on his shoulder, which Favre seldom publically shows. If that's really the case, I could see Rogers not putting up with some of the nonsensical grandstanding of some commentators, even some with HOF pedigrees. (That's personal bias on my part too. As years have gone by, I can't listen to Bradshaw or Jimmy Johnson for more than a minute.)

On the flip side(now there's a dated phrase...), I think putting Rogers and Charles Woodson together to break down both sides of the same play could be entertaining for a while. Two prickly bastards who know their stuff...

I could see Rodgers be the type who gets heavily into business and owns a bunch of **** completely outside of sports. Or get really weird with and join a handball league with Jake Plummer or some **** like that. I kind of doubt he does media although I think hed be pretty good at it.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I think you are right, probably more likely to see him on Shark Tank then Monday Night Football.

Oh, I believe they've always gone into the season with a guarded plan to win every game, including the SB. The trouble has been the inability of the FO, coaches, and players to close the deal for various reasons. Then, the artful dancing in the post-season pressers starts.

Murphy, TT, and McCarthy were not good at that. Rogers is better, but comes off as surly - and under the circumstance - I understand surly.
Well that I can i agree with.

Still a far cry from "happy just to take the division" though

I seriously doubt Favre got turned down from MNF considering the people that have hired, maybe not at the price he wanted but they'd be desperate for his star power. They had some doofus named Booger **** up the broadcast for years, there is no way Favre could possibly be worse.

Yep.

Aaron is the starter in 2020 and 2021.

If he's on top of his game, he's our starter in 2022 too. I know this era doesn't have guys sit long but Aaron sort of controls this. If he's playing well, he isn't losing his job.

I generally agree with the two year window but afterwards, I think there is the possibility that MLF and Gute have already made up their minds. Love is the starter in 2022......regardless of whether Aaron is still playing at an elite level.

Obviously the best case scenario is Love looks like the next coming and AR is still playing well enough to bring back a nice haul in a trade. Going into 2022 with a young stud QB AND extra draft ammo would be super exciting.

Unfortunately, the most likely thing is Love will look good but not to the point where he forces the issue and Rodgers will still be good but not Godgers where he makes the decision easy. Hope I'm wrong but I'd put money on both guys being somewhere in the middle and not an extreme in either direction.

A wildcard of course, is their relative health. I don't believe Love has any injury history to speak of, but that doesn't mean squat. Rogers takes great care of himself, but he's got a lot of hard miles on him, including some history of concussions. Those issues could overrule all other considerations.

Yep, best case scenario, Rodgers balls out and behind the scenes the coaches like what they are seeing from Love. Gives us options.

Mike Daniels wants to return to the Packers. Any interest? Or is he done-done?

I'd give him the vets minimum to take a look but no more than that.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Would love for him to play out one more year and retire as a Packer. Apparently he was useful when he was healthy last season, key phrase being "when he's healthy"...

Daniels would like to return with anyone. He was invisible his last years. He doesn't fit Pettine's system. Sign Tramon if anyone. Guy was #3CB - pretty damn important

Montravious Adams arrested;

According to the report, Adams was arrested in Houston County on Tuesday night and was charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving without insurance, and driving with suspended, canceled, or revoked vehicle registration.
