OT - BrINT gives Queens teammates free Wranglers

Post#1 » by PkrsBcksGphsMqt » Wed Apr 14, 2010 11:36 pm

http://blogs.nfl.com/2010/04/14/roundup-favre-gives-the-gift-of-wranglers/

The zip on Brett Favre’s passes may have dulled over the years, but his wit remains as sharp as ever.

Favre let his Vikings teammates know that he was thinking of them by sending all of the participants in the team’s offseason workouts a pair of Wrangler jeans, according to the Star Tribune.

“I need to break them in a little bit, they are kind of stiff,” punter Chris Kluwe joked.

Of course, the best way to loosen those jeans? Put your pants on the ground, pants on the ground.

The jeans came not a moment too soon, as there has been a dearth of Favre news in recent weeks. Which begs the question, will NFL Network’s Scott Hanson be fitted with a pair of Wranglers when he is camped out in front of the quarterback’s house for Favre Watch 2010?

Vikings players have to be a little disappointed. While a pair of jeans are a nice touch, Favre also endorses TVs for Sears. Nothing says you love your teammates like a 46-inch flat screen in each locker. Now you almost expect to see new RB Darius Reynaud in a T-shirt that says, “I went to Vikings offseason workouts and all I got was a lousy pair of Wranglers.”

But does this gesture mean that Favre is coming back? Come on, you know better than to ask that. But it is good to have Favre back in the news.

Adrian Peterson didn't really "throw" them out, he more fumbled them into the garbage.

I'm not a huge Favre fan anymore, but when he was a Packer he was one of my favorites. The drama queen crap and lies just annoyed the hell out of me after a while.

That being said, I think his gesture of sending them jeans is pretty amusing. :D

Thank god, I was just starting to worry that I hadn't seen any news on BrINT lately, it had been a good week since the news of him being a grandpa broke so I needed my fix.

I'm sure a bunch of multi-million dollar athletes want a pair of $12 jeans. Man. BrINT you really know how to win over your teammates.

Another sign that he's clearly coming back. But he clearly isn't sure. It's hilarious that some people actually believe that excuse.
