What time tonight will the Packers pick?

I was wondering, logistically, what time the Packers will pick tonight. If the draft starts at 6:30 and every team uses their alloted 15 minutes, wouldn't that mean the Pack wouldn't pick until around or after midnight? I am going to a friend's draft party tonight, and I am hoping that somehow this isn't the case... any thoughts?

I believe teams only have 10 minutes to make their selection so right away that will help your timeframe.

I think they only get 10 minutes per pick. I'd guess we see an average of eight to nine minutes used. If you're only interested in seeing the Packers pick I'd tune in around 9:30.

It's 10 minutes, so if every team takes the full time, you're looking at around four hours, so 10:20ish.

It has indeed been lowered to 10 minutes per team which means at most it would be 3 hours and 40 minutes before the Packers are on the clock putting that at 10:10 for going on the clock and 10:20 for the latest they could possibly pick.

Thanks guys, I am interested in watching the whole draft, but I am specifically interested in that Packers pick, thought I think we'll trade down and out of the pick.

It should move pretty quick early on, I'm sure it wont but realistically it should. Most of these teams have to have known for quite some time who they have wanted to pick. The only thing that stands in the way of that is teams trying to offer deals for a trading up situation.

For virtually every pick, there's some GM calling and casting a line to see if there's a potential deal. With one or two exceptions, I'm pretty sure every team will use up at least eight minutes before they submit their pick.

More time for Boomer and Mel. :-?

Mel thrives for time useage on draft day. More time for him to show off his crazy facial epressions and hand motions.
