Showcasing good flexibility off of the snap, Wilson does a nice job reading and reacting quickly to plays, getting his hands up in pass lanes and finding the football. He lacks ideal burst off of the edge and isn't the kind of threat to consistently reach the corner. However, he displays good short-area quickness as a pass rusher and does a nice job dropping his pad level, extending his arms and generating power from his lower half on the bull-rush. Wilson displays the power to overwhelm opposing tackles on contact and collapse the pocket. He's too much of a straight-line athlete, doesn't exhibit the body control to cleanly change directions on a counter-move and doesn't use his hands well to shed blocks off of the edge.

Biography: Full-time starter the past three seasons besides starting seven games as a freshman. All-Conference selection as a senior after totaling 57/10.5/5.5. Junior totals included 70/18.5/10.5 when he was initially awarded All-Conference honors.

Positives: Athletic college pass rusher who displays good speed off the edge. Possesses solid first step quickness, displays an array of pass rushing moves, and is fast up the field. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself, keeps his feet moving on contact, and rarely off his feet. Fluid moving in every direction, plays with balance and good pad level. Has blocked kicks in the past.

Negatives: Undersized, lacks strength at the point and rather easily pushed from his angle of attack by single opponent. Can be engulfed at the point.

Analysis: Wilson is a solid pass-rush prospect with marginal size for the next level. He offers possibilities as a rotational player in a conventional four-man line, and he has special teams abilities that will help him secure a spot on an NFL roster.

Projection: 4-5

Doubt he's an OLB unless he can afford to shed about 25 pounds.

In round seven you just have to hope you can draft a guy who makes the team. No matter what position.

I would say though this is a very unsexy draft.

I would say he did absolutely 0 in the way of improving our overall pass rush.
