Preseason Game 4: Pack @ Chiefs - 7 pm- Channel 4

And other local state channels.
Airing at midnight tomorrow night on NFL Network.
Please no links to the game or email addresses asking for links. Immediate ban will follow such transgressions.
Starters expected to play one series. A few backup spots up for grabs and punter. I'm interested how Shields looks. I'm also going to pay more attention to Obiozor. Bedard had him the highest rated LB in the Colts game and says he's outperformed Zombo.
See if Chery can have some nice returns.
NO INJURIES

Guys I'll be watching:
Shields
Harrell
B. Jones (if he plays)
Chery
Neal
Zombo/Obiozor
I'm guessing Matthews is being held out again and Bulaga as well.

I'm kind of stun that he said Obiozor outperformed Zombo last game. I thought Zombo played very well and I don't really recall hearing Obiozor's number called a lot.
That being said, hopefully they both turn out to be solid players. That would be huge for us.

Silversteins 5 things to watch (Jones not expected to play, that sucks because he has to get used to that shoulder harness and the only way to get used to it is game action).
Injury report: Packers - LB Clay Matthews (hamstring), LB Brad Jones (shoulder), DE Cullen Jenkins (calf), S Will Blackmon (knee), LB Desmond Bishop (hamstring), CB Brandon Underwood (shoulder) and OL Allen Barbre (back) are not expected to play. Chiefs - OLB Tamba Hali (ankle), RT Ryan O'Callaghan (groin), OLB Cameron Sheffield (neck), CB Maurice Leggett (neck) and OG Darryl Harris (undisclosed).
FIVE THINGS TO WATCH
The big rip-off: For a $72 seat in the corner of the stadium on the third deck, you get to see the backups for two NFL teams go at it for 50 minutes tops. That's because Packers coach Mike McCarthy will pull his starters after one series. Chiefs coach Todd Haley is expected to pull his after one or two series. If you're looking for something to watch, try looking for a fan who actually feels he got his money's worth.
The rush is on: McCarthy made it seem as though outside linebacker Frank Zombo wasn't as much of a lock to make the team as some media have thought. Despite leading the team in tackles (15) and sacks (two), Zombo apparently still has some work to do. He'll probably get the start in place of Jones and will get some rushes vs. Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert, who was one of the leaders in sacks allowed last year. Zombo needs to have a strong performance.
Final exam: Rookie safety Morgan Burnett has one final preseason game to prepare for the real thing. Burnett is one of the starters who will probably play more than a series because he needs to get as much work as possible. Burnett picked off his first pass last week against Indianapolis and had another interception in practice this week. He needs to show he can put a shoulder into between-the-tackles backs like Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones.
Chery bomb: Coming out of nowhere last week, Jason Chery suddenly is a name to follow. He has a chance to win a roster spot against the Chiefs. It's as simple as having a big game on special teams. His first punt return in the NFL was a 75-yard touchdown, and his second was a nimble running fair catch in traffic. Chery had some trouble fielding the ball in practice, but if he stays fumble-free and gets some yards, he'll be in the discussion for the 53.
Frontline: Defensive linemen Justin Harrell, Anthony Toribio, Jarius Wynn, C.J. Wilson and Ron Talley are probably fighting for two spots. Toribio and Harrell are probably fighting for one spot, and Wynn and Talley for the other. Wilson would appear to be a practice squad candidate. Keep an eye on Talley. He has pass rush ability but needs to show his knee isn't a problem.

Man, our OLB's need to get healthy. Not a huge fan of having both go into game one with no preseason snaps.

I'd be really surprised if they cut zombo. It would be pretty dumb on the Packers part.

I actually think the opposite, I'm leaning towards 4 WR and 5 TE as what they keep, both Chery and Swain on the outside.

2nd'd, should one of the wr's go down for a week (and invariably it'll happen for at least 1 week), I think there will always be a wr out there capable of providing what brett swain does. Conversely, if J. Finley goes down, well, maybe donald lee wouldn't be so bad. Finley/Quarless work just fine as 5th wrs

That weather crap on the screen better disappear when the game starts.

I'm glad Rodgers is being held out, no reason to risk anything.

What? You don't like half the screen being covered by weather crap that nobody cares about?
Jesse Garcia needs to grow her hair longer again.

Larry McCarren needs to just tape his pinky to his other finger, Jessie Garcia keeps glancing at it like wtf?

Remember back in the day they would just have a weather bulletin pop up once every 15-20 minutes for maybe 30 seconds.
Now it's gotta be a constant thing taking up half the screen if there's a chance of drizzle.
I think it has to do with post 9/11 and the news/media going that extra mile to try and scare people with whatever they can.

I'd say Harlan's daughter may or may not be hot, but I'm no Finley.

If Chery makes the team as the punt returner it should coincide with Shawn Slocum being fired.
