NCAA Kickoff Weekend

Post#1 » by MikeIsGood » Thu Sep 2, 2010 11:37 pm

We need a thread for all of the "other" games this weekend. I know we'll have one for the Badger game when the time goes, but football starts, well, 30 minutes ago.

That and the Boise St. @ VA Tech games are definitely the 2 marked on my schedule for the weekend.

Minnesota and Middle Tennessee tied 14-14 in the 3rd.

OSU owning Marshall.

Minnesota is a historically fantastic team though.

MTSU's starting QB was suspended. They were playing with a guy that I believe had never played a college down at QB.

Holy blown coverage. Baldwin should never be anywhere near that open.

LOL there was another time out so now he gets to go at it "for real."

At least the officials were more on top of things for the second one.

Provo is BYU. Utah plays in Salt Lake City. :)

Also, the announcing crew for the Pitt/Utah game will be the crew for the Wisconsin game on Saturday.

Barkley will have a good year but it will mainly be because he's got enough time to study for his tests.

I could play QB for USC if their line is going to give him that much time.

Lane Kiffin needs to get kicked in the nuts if he's going to go for 2 after every touchdown.

Moniz for Hawaii is the worst QB in college football.

I always screw that up; not surprised I would yet again :)

13-20 USC, with 3 minutes left in the first half. If they lose it gets real ugly real fast. Nothing Lane Kiffind doesn't deserve.

That Pitt vs Utah game was great, exactly the reason I love college football, you can always find a good competitive game somewhere on one of the channels. I didn't like Pitt's decision to run on 3rd and 10 from the 14 when they were down 3 with 32 seconds left, play for the win and don't be pussies, they ended up losing in OT anyways.

I didn't like Utah's decision to ice the kicker a second time and once they did ice him a second time I don't know why they didn't just blow their last timeout to ice him a third time.

Overall great and exciting game though.
