There's been a lot unmatched expectations throughout the league during the first 1/4 of the season. As Packer fans we have a lot to be worried about, but looking around the league at some of the other dissappointments, who do you think is in the worst position?
Packers: Obviously the injuries are beyond ridiculous, but even when we were healthy we weren't clicking like we all thought we would. The remaining schedule is pretty tough, but we're still 3-2, and were in a position to win against CHI & WAS late in the games.
Vikings: Already in a 1-3 hole with a relatively tough schedule still to come, and a possible suspension for their QB who isn't playing that well to begin with. There are a lot more issues in Minnesota than a trade for Moss can fix.
Cowboys: Not only did they start in a 1-3 hole with everybody else in their division 3-2, but they have arguably the toughest remaining schedule out of all these teams. If they win 8 games total this year that will be an accomplishment. Still, they haven't looked terrible, losing all their games by a touchdown or less.
49ers: Few teams that start 0-5 can still remain positive, but having only played 1 divisional game so far, the 49ers can make up ground quickly in a terrible NFC west. 8 or 9 victories probably wins that division, and the only matchups that pose a major problem on their otherwise easy remaining schedule are at GB and at SD.
Saints: Like the Packers, the Saints are still 3-2, but failing to meet expectations. The defending champs have looked off in all of their games, winning all 3 games by a total of 10 points. A moderately tough schedule that includes the AFC North and a surging Atlanta team might mean the Saints need to nab a wildcard spot to make the playoffs.
Colts: The Colts are 3-2, the same as everyone else in the AFC South. They've already lost 2 divisional games, and have a pretty tough remaining schedule. If another AFC South team wins the division, Indy would likely be battling with Pit/Bal and NYJ/NE/MIA for a wildcard spot, and until they get on the same page I'd rank them below those 5 teams.
Chargers: I have Gates in my fantasy league and couldn't be happier, but aside from him nothing is consistant for this 2-3 team. They've creamed their opponents at home, but have lost all their road games. A so-so schedule and the fact they play in the AFC West means they still have a shot at winning the division, but they're up there with the other teams in terms of being dysfunctional.
I think it's Newz who always tries to calm people down and responds that NO, DAL, MIN, etc. should be just as worried as we are. I guess my hope is that we'll realize that we're in the same boat as a lot of teams and can hopefully turn things around and make the playoffs. Besides, Chicago's got a rough last 8 weeks of the season, does anyone really think they'll keep this consistancy up and win the division? So, who do you think's in the worst shape?

Rivers has been the best qb in the league this year.

I say the 49ers, they are 0-5 and they just look awful and find ways to lose.

If the Saints lose on the road to Tampa Bay this week, there's going to be a lot of panic going on over there.
The correct answer is the loser of the Vikes-Cowboys game. That team is basically all but done already.

49ers - they seemed to be the clear favorites to win the very weak NFC West. Alex Smith seemed to be working things out - now there is talk he might be benched. The Offensive Coordinator is fired after Week 3. I can't really think of anything positive about the team.

I went Chargers just because they are in the AFC and it will be much harder making the playoffs in the AFC than in the NFC.

How are the 49ers underachievers? When have the 49ers ever been good?

I guess I would say the Packers because of the massive amount of injuries.
I like all of those teams from a talent perspective... I think I'd take the worse record if I could get the team back to full health though.

Just about every sports writer pegged them to win the NFC West, so it's safe to say they're underachieving and not meeting expectations for the season thus far.

That's probably it, I don't know how either of those teams can rebound from a 1-4 start with their remaining schedules.

The last time they were good was when we beat them in the wild card round, nine years ago.
That's Lions bad.

So the 49ers are a good team because they were picked to win a division that holds the worst 4 teams in the NFL? To be honest the Chargers and 49ers shouldn't be on that list.
You can prob make a good case for any of the other teams. I would prob go with the Saints though just because there super bowl champs and brought back the same offense that was lights out last year. And they have the best coach of all the teams.

Niners haven't had a winning record since 2002. Yeah some considered them a team on the rise but it's been a long time since they were good.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
