Badgers 31-18! I hope you relived my Greatest Day Ever

Post#1 » by midranger » Wed Oct 13, 2010 11:32 pm

Cheaters are performing an internal investigation of Santonio Holmes (who admitted accepting money)(sure they are).

Anyway...

Game Day in Madison. Awesome.

Night game in Madison. Awesome.

Hated Ohio State is #1 in country. Terrible.

We can rectify the above. Awesome.

Last time this happened... this happened...

I give the Badgers about a 35-40 percent chance to win Saturday. The biggest key IMO is that the offensive line can open holes consistently for the RB's because in some past games vs the always strong OSU defense, the running game was ineffective. While the Badgers have a very solid passing game, if they have to pass 30-35 times because the running game is getting stuffed, we'll have very little chance to win. UW has to run the ball at least reasonably well and create some big plays in the passing game off play action.

Defensively, i think we can hang in there against OSU so long as Pryor isn't continually keeping drives alive on 3rd down by scrambling for first downs.

I'll be in town for this one. I'm going to show a couple of friends how the Big Ten does football. One of my friends is from the South and the other is from L.A.

I think Wisconsin wins the Big Ten if they can win this game. I basically see it as a toss up, would not be surprised to see Wisconsin get the win.

Remember like it was yesterday. So drunk I could barely walk down Regent, steady but not too hard of cold rain falling, Camp Randall BY FAR the loudest it has ever been for any game. Generally, I consider Camp Randall pretty tame (probably the quietest sports venue in Wisconsin when at capacity), but it felt like it was going to crumble that game. Lee Evans is probably my favorite Badger ever.

I'll be tailgating for this one with the wife and daughter. Really pumped.

People in the south do football big, but completely different. Alot of khakis, tucked in polos, parted hair, and dates.

People in LA don't do football, even if they fool themselves into thinking they do.

Luke, I can barely remember that day. For all the right reasons.

3 story beer bong races. 10 gallons of bloody marys. 6 kegs. 150 pounds of meat. It was a hell of a pre-game party. Mills and St James.

I was blackout for the majority of the game, but came to when Lee Evans scored. Then I snapped back out of it for the final, and post-game parties at the bars, Everyone in Madison was jubilant. Everyone got along that night. Every table at Brothers had at least 3 people dancing on it. It was insane. I'll always remember that feeling of a crowd unified in victory. Great times.

One note: we handled OSU fairly well last year except for the 3 non-offensive TDs that we gave up. They had a single sustained drive all game IIRC, and we moved the ball at will without finishing. It was pretty damn depressing.

Yeah, there really is nothing more crazy than playing against an elite opponent in your home building, regardless of sport. The Badger/Illini basketball game I wanna say in 2005 where they had Head/Williams/Brown and we had Wilk/Tucker/Butch was close to that OSU atmosphere (as was the Duke game last year), but in terms of Badger atmosphere and just absolute hate towards an opponent, everyone was in line vs. the Buckeyes that game, it was just surreal. Saturday will also be insane.

We can't run against top Big Ten defenses. I think the Badgers get rolled.

It's going to take a couple of fluke plays to keep this one close.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Drunk chick in a Madison bar on a Saturday night of a Badger game? No chance.

I know a dude and a chick that banged in a porta potty at the Stadium Bar, so that might be a good starting point. That's where I'll be. :D

It's funny that what you see inside a Porta-Potty is an upgrade over what you see inside TCF Bank Stadium.

Way to edit my post. :D

I haven't had the privledge of attending a game at TCF yet, but if it's anything like the Dome then there is probably a good chance of getting some action in the bathrooms. :eyebrows:

Much like that game, even though I don't have a ticket I'm thinking about going up just for the atmosphere. Played drinking games while staying out of the rain at an apartment then hit the bars with everyone else afterward. Good times.

I was at the Illinois/tOSU game a few weeks ago, a game where Illinois was in it for 58 minutes before Ohio State scored late.

I think this will be a really close game. Ohio State really hasn't impressed me yet -- certainly not enough to be #1 in the country.

Oh and I went to TCF for NIU-Minnesota a few weeks ago too. Awesome facility. Definitely the nicest college facility I've seen.

I'll be there, in the Student section, ready to scream my lungs out. Should be awesome, probably start a riot if we win haha.
