Didn't the Packers cut this guy before? better not be anything more than a 6th rounder

Guy couldn't make the roster coming out of camp last year.

I'm thrilled.

That's what I'm wondering...I think it is. If so, LOL. Obviously that missing piece of the puzzle.

He is the one player I wish was healthy all year but I do not complain about it. You can't control that so why cry?

We won't give up any picks for Lynch but we'll trade for a guy that we cut last season? Why wouldn't you just sign some bum and give up nothing?

Bigby must be done.

I don't think he is. Rodgers made a reference of getting him back next week in his press conference after the game.

Well, maybe you're right. Bedard just tweeted that Harris should be ready next week but Bigby's a few weeks out, still.

Ugh.

TT definately made a mistake in cutting him the first time around and he's more or less admitting it with this trade.

Sounds like i'm in the minority, but I like this move. Smith looked good last time he was with us, I was shocked when he was cut. Everyone that was bitching and complaining that TT needed to make ANY move to address the injuries should be happy TT is doing something. Obviously this isn't Lynch but having an extra Safety will be nice over the next few weeks, especially when we face Favre next week.

I think you guys have this right. Bigby just isn't coming back so TT is covering his bases with a decent veteran body to help out. This is a good move.

Wow TT must be a great GM doing this trade and admiting a mistake. I hope TT gets hit by a bus!

If you're with him when the bus hits I might be willing to make that sacrifice.

I thought you said you were done with this team. I took that as you were done posting on this board. Wish that would have been the case.

I'm not sure about that. We are only making this move because we are down 2 safeties with Bush being the only backup behind Collins and Peprah. Since Bigby isn't ready, we definitely needed someone.

It isn't really admitting a mistake if the guy is basically 7th on your depth chart if your safeties are healthy. We are basically just adding a guy familiar with our system that will come cheap.

TT admitted to the mistake a few weeks after he cut Smith, when he tried to pick him up on waivers but the Rams (or Jaguars?) beat him to the punch.
