Never too early to get excited, especially with the article on wiretap:

Greg Jones target #1 for me. He is a hell of a football player.

Absolutely need to get someone who can rush the passer.

Agreed. Jones is like AJ Hawk if AJ Hawk could rush the passer, play in coverage, stuf the run, diagnose of the fly, and make big/aggressive plays.

Hawk will be gone, we could use another LB. Another OL. Another DB. Another pass rusher to compliment CM3 is essential. Brad Jones is not the answer.

Amazing what a bust that guy has been.

Keep an eye on Bishop. I love Jones too but Desmond has been remarkably good these last two weeks. He might be the long term answer in the middle.

Not many have really stood out to me this season to be honest.

I think Amukamara has looked like the top DB. Clayborn looks like a top three pick one play and gets blown off the line the next. I'm hoping Quinn's stock took enough of a hit that he falls to us, though he doesn't seem like a Thompson kind of pick. Ayers could be. Same with Georgia's Justin Houston.

Yes, we need a pass rusher. But you convince me that we need impact players all over the field.

Let's draft clay's younger bro. Have no idea where he'll go but let's get him. He's a senior isn't he?

We have to spend one of our first 3 picks on a pass rusher. My top guys are Jeremy Beal, Von Miller, Akeem Ayers, Steve Saturday and Justin Houston in that order. After those guys there is a huge dropoff IMO. I might be tempted to go a different direction if a guy like Ras-I Dowling or Ryan Williams falls to us in the 1st. That Illinois RB is definitely tempting as well, he is a total beast.

Analysts have been ripping on Carimi a lot, and he could be there in the 2nd... I would definitely consider taking him. Bulaga/Carimi as our tackles of the future is a good start.

He is a senior. I think he is projected to go in a middle round. I would be on board with a Super Smash Bros. approach. :)

Bishop's big knock is he can't cover. But he can't be worse than Hawk in that regard.

Yeah, I definitely want Clay's brother in a middle round.

I'm confused as to why Bishop wasn't getting his chances earlier.

The guy has been easily our best LB (with Clay out of course). He looks better than Barnett, Hawk and Chillar.

OLB and ILB are the Packers 2 top priorities...add DB and RB into that mix as well. I also think the Packers need to think about finding a quality #2 receiver, been bitterly disappoined in Jones and especially Nelson, Driver no more than a possesion receiver at this point.

Last I heard he was projected to be a mid rounder(3rd-4th specifically). Clay really improved his draft stock at the combine by being a freak there so who knows if Casey can do the same thing.

I love Greg Jones, too. I'd love Von Miller too. He hasn't been overly productive this season, but he's been playing hurt and double teamed constantly.

Agreed. Playing injured like he has shows his toughness. When he is healthy he is about at the top of my list. The way he rushes the quarterback really reminds me of Clay. Quick first step, good technique and a never-stopping, relentless motor. His stock should rise out of our range once he is healthy though.

One guy that has been having eligibility issues, but is a great talent is Greg Little of North Carolina. He could probably be had in the 4th or 5th. Check him out, he is 6'3'' 212 pounds and is an absolute freak athletically. Also played basketball for the Tar Heels I believe. Maybe not a TT pick, but he would be a steal, IMO.

How confident is everyone with our current young O-linemen? I wouldn't mind picking up a guy like Carimi in the 2nd, but if it isn't necessary than I would just rather trade up and nab Mikel Leshoure.

I think Carimi is a bust at the next level, never thought he was a pass blocker...most OL's out of Wisconsin struggle in the pass blocking...not all (Joe Thomas), but most....shocking isn't it.

I remember Bishop making a hell of a play last week diving to break up a pass. Obviously only one play but I don't ever remember Hawk doing anything like that. I really do hope the light has gone on for him because I can definately see him as part of the future.

Bishop barely got there and it was horribly thrown ball. Don't forget Hawk's immaculate interception. :) I think Bishop will turn out find but if the BPA is an ILB, go for it.

Well he could be equally as bad, regardless, not being able to cover is not acceptable...get someone else then.
