Has Tramon become an elite corner?

I think at this point it can actually become a discussion. He covers the best receiver week in and out. Never really gets burned and plays well every week. Is Tramon and elite corner or shutdown corner? I think hes about 75% there. Amazing to think what he used to be to where he is. I hope to god Shields follows the same route.

I think he is but, if TT gets really lucky both Sam Shields and Pat Lee will turn into good corners.

He's our best CB and he shares the secondary with last year's DMVP.

I first said that about 2 or 3 weeks ago to Newz in a conversation outside of the forums, it has been very true this season.

He's been good outside of last week against Marshall.

In all fairness Marshall makes pretty much any corner look bad. He would be pretty sick with an elite QB.

cmon man hes been more than good. Marshall with a Manning or Brady would be the best wideout in the NFL.

I thought you were playing on the Dick's Sporting Goods commercial with Darelle Revis.

I'm not disagreeing that he hasn't been good, or whatever adjective you want to use. I just thought he was only okay against Marshall last week. An "elite" corner limits him further. Granted Revis had the benefit of a great front seven last year, but he shut down some elite receivers who had elite QB's last year. I think Tramon is a pro bowler, just not "elite" if that makes sense.

It sounds like you think there is only one "elite" CB in the league. I consider every pro bowl CB "elite."
