NFL Week 11
The big game, besides our own, is the Thursday night matchup between Chicago and Miami. Hopefully Thigpen doesn't suck too bad.
It would be nice to see SF knock off the Bucs.
Rams have a shot against ATL.
Either Giants or Philly will lose
Indy/NE is always interesting

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: NFL Week 11
The Bears get Miami without both their QB's. Stun.
Go:
Dolphins
Titans
Rams
Niners
Seahawks
Giants/Eagles I don't really care who wins. Hopefully we have the head to head tiebreaker on both.

Re: NFL Week 11
Seriously f'ing unreal the breaks the Bears are getting. Of course Miami would lose Henne and Pennington in the same game and be forced to start Thigpen in a Thursday night game. I guess we should be thankful they had a 3rd QB who's actually seen the field before in a real game. God, I hope Cutler chokes this one away.

Between the Lions' "process" game, the questionable penalties and late fumble vs. the Packers, a gift INT vs. the Bills late, it's been pretty bad. They have also had the least injuries in the division by far. But maybe it's the team, they always seem to win just ugly games. I still think if you pressure Cutler at all they fold like a tent though, he's really bad under pressure. If you can't pressure him, they can beat you because he' a decent QB when not flustered and they have good D/special teams.
But the Bears do seem to get a lot of breaks.

Thigpen is actually decent.

Yeah, I think Thigpen won't be a downgrade at all. He might even be better than Henne.

He is the one player I wish was healthy all year but I do not complain about it. You can't control that so why cry?

I don't mind Thigpen. He put up some decent games for KC, albeit in a quirky offense.

Re: NFL Week 11
I'm really interested to see what the Eagles end up doing with the Vick/Kolb situation.
It almost seems like they should resign Vick to a 4-5 year deal and ride him as long as they can... Then when he gets hurt (which will happen) or just loses it, then you have Kolb there who is also a legit starter.
I'm not sure if Kolb would go for that though.

I'm guessing re-sign Vick, trade Kolb. Honestly, in all the games I've seen Kolb (admittedly few), he hasn't impressed me at all.

Pretty sure Kolb is a free agent after the season.

Kolb has some shortcomings but he also has a lot of talent. He really just needs to get some starts so he can get into some sort of a rhythm.

Wikipedia told me that Kolb's extension he signed was for the 2011 season. Not sure, but I believe that is the case.

He was signed through 2011 meaning the 2010-2011 season, I believe he is a restricted free agent after this season, that is of course pending the new CBA and how those things will work.

Yep, just dug a little deeper, his contract goes through the end of the 2011-2012 season.

Re: NFL Week 11
Kolb might be Minnesota bound, which is fine with me as long as they don't end up with Vick.

Re: NFL Week 11
It would take a 1st and a 3rd to get him in all likelihood. Not sure the Eagles even do that, at least not next season. Then again the next CBA may not include franchise tags and they'd risk losing him for nothing.

Re: NFL Week 11
Something that I heard earlier today -- the Bears are the healthiest team in the league. Really makes you wonder what'd happen if even just Matthews finished the game against Washington and suited up against Miami, let alone all of the other starters we've lost.

I'd rather not have Kolb or Vick in Minny.
