Hey everyone

If anyone has any experience buying tickets from a scalper right before kickoff up at Lambeau, how much can I expect to pay? Can I be pretty confident they are legit tickets?

Thanks in advance!

There is a scalpers area across the street from Lambeau. There are a lot of "professional" scalpers there. You won't get much of a deal unless you wait until just before kickoff. If you are looking for just one or two tickets I would recommend walking around the parking lot for awhile with a sign saying you are looking for tickets. Often a group may have an extra ticket or two because someone cancelled on them.

As for price, as with any sold out event the initial price of the scalpers will be above face value. If you are willing to wait until noon and miss the beginning the game you'll do much better.

What works in your favor is the weather is expected to be cold and the 49ers are lousy.

I have no problem missing part of the game, even the 1st quarter if needed. Think it is possible to get tickets for $50 a piece if we wait that long?

My friend and I started a tradition last year and plan on doing it again Jan 2. $65 or bust. We go up, find tailgates and try buying tickets before kickoff- if not, go to a bar and drink. The lowest we got was $80 and no one was really selling after kickoff so we headed to a bar. A drunk couple asked us if we were going to the game, we said we wanted tickets but didn't have enough for the scalpers. They asked how much a ticket we were going to spend. I said $40 a piece. Sold. 10 rows up.

I got lucky but Lambeau is a cool place to walk around and it is always fun to drink in a big Packer bar.

Face value for the seating bowl ranges from $67-$83. I would think $50 is doable for an end zone seat if you wait long enough.

Stubhub is a good indicator of the popularity of a particular game. For the Niners end zone seats start at $89 there, for the Giants $129 and for the Bears $145.
