PGT: Niners at Packers (Week 13)

Not our best game by a long shot, but we still won by 18.

Rodgers was fantastic for the most part.

Starks looked good.

A little bit concerned about the lack of protection for Rodgers and the lack of pass rush on defense.

Nobody did us any favors today. Hopefully Atlanta can still pull through.

I'm thinking we aren't going to make the playoffs.

Win the division or bust I guess.

Don't hate the NFC West winner, hate the Panthers (x2), Bengals, Browns, and NFC West that give the competent NFC South teams an 8 game cushion to start their season.

Playoffs will work itself out. We beat the Giants and it's likely that we're in, we lose and we're likely out, so we won't have anyone to blame but ourselves. I think ATL wins today, putting us with needing to pass one team and we play the Giants and Bears.

Bears still have a tough schedule as well, they could legitimately lose all four.

Regarding this game, not much to say. We're a much better team and we showed it. Rodgers is getting hot at the right time. And Starks looked pretty legit.

Nah, we will. I don't see us losing to anyone but New England. And if we do happen to lose to DET, we don't deserve to go to the playoffs anyways.

The thing is, I think the Bucs are an average team (that can beat the teams they should beat) and the Falcons are slightly above average and once again, can beat teams they should beat, finish games at home, and have gotten a few lucky breaks. Given that Tampa is at home, it's going to be close, and I could see them being the team that gets the break, further muddying our playoff picture.

Yes, unless you believe we're going to win out and catch every single break to get home field advantage. This would be break #1 in TB winning.

We'll own the tiebreakers against Chitown, G-Men, and the Illadelph if we win all the games left in which we'll be favored. So it's likely we'll qualify. And we control our own destiny if we win out. Thus we have to feel reasonably well about our position.

Great e-mail subject line from Favre's Web site: "Favre gets injured but Vikings D Rolls!" You know, not that 38 points played any factor.

Yep. If we beat the Giants we'll have tiebreaker on them. If we beat Bears we'll have tiebreaker on them (in all likelihood). If we lose to the Lions at this point we don't deserve playoffs. If we earn it, we'll make it.

Have to Win the Giants game and we'll make the playoffs as atleast a wild card team. If We Lose against the Giants and get another loss we'll prob be the odd team out. Which is weird since I think were a legit super bowl contender as long as we can run the ball alittle bit like the Packers did today.

Favre looks completely done but I'd love it if just once more this off season he did the "will he or won't he come back?" routine, just to screw with Minny.

I hope he tries to come back and Minnesota doesn't want him.

I know you guys probably see this too but no way that happens. This "wishy washy" years were ones when he wanted to play 100%. Maybe this season he was at 90%. He's at about -1000% wanting to play in 2011 at this point.

I could see him wanting to come back easily. If you look at their schedule next year, he has either dome or warm weather games pretty much all year. The only iffy games are Green Bay, Chicago and Washington and they'll probably put those early in the season.

Atlanta, Carolina, Oakland, San Diego, Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago, Washington on the road. That's set up perfectly for him.

I could see Favre coming back just because I think hes looking at a huge divorce and wants the money. This is just me speculating, but I'm guessing Deanna will leave his ass once hes done collecting major pay checks so that her lawyer can take a look at his total assets earned while they were married and she can get her growing share.
