Giants Lead Up-THUR UPDATE: COLLINS PRACTICES

Well, the Packers couldn't ask for a better set up. Win the last two and they are in the playoffs, likely as the #6 seed. All six of their losses this season are by 3 points (4 games) or 4 points (2 games). It's time to end strongly.
The Giants get after the QB. 42 sacks, second in the NFL. This game will come down to our OL vs. their DL. If we win that battle, we can definitely throw on their secondary. Their run defense is average, so hopefully Starks is back for the game to give us a few options.
We can pressure Eli into mistakes as well, he has 20 INT this season.
I'm assuming Rodgers will play if he was a late scratch this week. He has to.

#6 seed will likely play at Chicago. Two years in a row we could go back to back in week 17 and first round of the playoffs. Except this year we play #17 at home.

AR was very close to being cleared to play last night, I can't imagine he wouldn't be ready to go this week.

Yep, if the Eagles win out at home (which I expect), and we beat the Bears to get in, it will be at Chicago for the first week of playoffs.

I'm happy as hell that we control our own destiny. There's something that is telling me that we're going to have one last close, heartbreaking loss though. I hope to God that I'm wrong.
Hopefully Collins is ok too. The run defense is going to have to come to play on Sunday.

If the Bears win tonight, I'm hoping Tampa wins out and New Orleans loses out. We'd be the 5 seed playing the West winner if that happened.

I can imagine Minny laying an egg tonight, giving the Bears the division. And then somehow upsetting Philly next week, giving Chicago #2 seed and sending us to Philly for round 1.

#5 seed would be great, but I'll take #6 vs. being out.

Absolutely. I'm not going to get greedy.

We no longer have to depend on anyone else. Win 2 and we're in. Both games at home. No excuses.

This game is about as big as it gets in the regular season.
If Rodgers wants to break that "he can't win a big game" tag that people want to put on him, then this is the one to really step it up in.

This is a horrible match up for the Packers.....the Packers biggest weakness IMO is a very soft O-line, mostly from the center left, I expect the physical dominannce of the Giants D-line to overpower the Packers and I fear for Rodgers (assuming he plays) getting his 3rd concussion....I believe the Giants have knocked out over 5 QB's already this season, couple that with a soft, weak o-line, no running game...trouble.
I alomst forgot, the Packers can't stop the run and the Giants have themselves some horses.

Basically the playoffs start on Sunday and we have the first two rounds at home. Lose and the season is over.

It's time to get revenge for the '07 NFC Championship game. I hate Giants fans.

I'd like to see Capers line up Matthews in different spots. It seems like he did that earlier in the year but the last few games he's always lined up in the same spot. Move him over to the right side from time to time. Hell, even put him in the middle for a few plays. He's our best pass rusher, let's mix it up a little bit to keep the defense guessing.

Could this game be meaningless?
Consider if the Vikings lose to the Bears tonight.
Then, what if the Jets (who need a win, I believe) beat the Bears in the noon game.
Our game vs the Giants is a 3:15 start, so would we know by then if we needed to win?

Also, this game is on my birthday.
The last time the Packers played on my birthday, Mike Alstott tore us a new ****. I was 11 and I cried.

Hopefully the same doesn't happen on Sunday.
