OT - Brandon Jacobs wants in

Post#1 » by Wilford Brimley » Mon Dec 27, 2010 10:45 pm

http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/weather/ ... n-appleton

“I'm actually cool with this place. I went to school in Coffeyville, Kansas, it's sort of just like this, probably a little smaller. It's cool for me. I'm alright,” said Jacobs.

While some players said they were anxious to get out of Wisconsin, Jacobs said he could handle calling it home.

“If push came to shove and Green Bay offered me an opportunity to extend my career as a Packer...count me in,” said Jacobs.

 Guy's team gets his ass kicked on national TV, is not going to the playoffs, and all he can say is, "yeah, I wouldn't mind playing for those guys." We are awesome.

I'd take Brandon Jacobs here in a heartbeat.

Sweet:

He was a high school teammate of Green Bay Packers defensive back Tramon Williams.

Not sweet:

He signed a four-year, $25 million dollar contract with the Giants in 2009

I was listening to 540 the other day and they were doing the 5 sports related wish list from all the callers. I swear I heard a guy say he wish TT would spend some money and go get Adrian Peterson. And I may have heard this wrong, but he also said Peterson said he wanted to come to GB.

He's a Kill player too, which almost makes him a Gopher. I'd take him on the cheap on a short deal. Otherwise I'll pass.

LOL @ Vikings if that were to happen. Would probably be the final nail in the coffin in their hopes to get a stadium built.

I don't see us getting him but I wouldn't object. Anybody would be better Jackson and it sure would be nice to have a big back like him with in the 5.

Would be nice to have a bulldozer HB (unless you see Kuhn as a HB, which he seems to be these past two games), hate the contract though

Jacobs is talented, but seems like a huge headcase. With the contract, hard to say if he's worth it.

Haven't really heard that about him...heard he was pretty supportive of Bradshaw when he took his starting job.

I would gladly take him as a goal line back and second string backup.

He's had issues this year. He got benched in a game earlier this year and threw his helmet into the crowd.

Mainly because Bradshaw took his job.

There are some rumors out there that Peterson wants to pull a reverse Favre and "stick it to Minnesota" by coming to Green Bay. I can't emphasize the word "rumor" enough.

If we got AP even MM wouldn't be able to stop the Packers offense.

The sound of his own voice, apparently. :D

May as well have... The rumors have basically come from anonymous people who claim to be close to Peterson and have said he's unhappy that the Vikings basically handed the franchise over to Favre, so he wants to go to a division rival. A few of the local ESPN radio personalities talked about it for a bit a few weeks ago. To me, it doesn't even make sense or sound remotely plausible.

He would be the only person in a position to stop it though.
