I recommend following ProFootbalFocus on Twitter.

ProFootbalFocus wrote:There are 3 corners in the NFL that are holding opposing QBs to a rating under 50: Tramon Williams, Joe Haden and Asante Samuel

ProFootbalFocus wrote:QBs have a 144.4 QB rating when throwing into the coverage of Taylor Mays. Worst mark for a safety in the NFL this season
Lol @ people who wanted him. He's an idiot.

Tramon Williams was snubbed. Period.

ProFootbalFocus wrote:We credit BJ Raji with 7 sacks, most for a NT since '90. 2 came from NT in base D, 4 from DE in 2 man line. 1 from NT in rush package

I remember when we drafted Raji, rival scouts almost unanimously said he'll never be special but that he'll be pretty good (ie we drafted for need and reached). Considering that most defensive tackles don't start peaking until their third season, I think Raji is already proving those scouts wrong. The number of quality snaps he gives this team for a man his size is truly remarkable. Like my friend said to me last night, BJ Raji + Clay Matthews could end up being as important a draft for us as Warren Sapp + Derrick Brooks was for Tampa back in the day.

Other interesting tidbits:

ProFootbalFocus wrote:SF's Josh Morgan, on 7 fewer receptions, leads the league with 12 missed tackles forced after the catch (Pierre Garcon tied 1st, on 60 recs)

ProFootbalFocus wrote:Houston's Kevin Walter, from 48 receptions, has failed to force a single missed tackle after the catch.

ProFootbalFocus wrote:Danny Amendola and Wes Welker have combined for 228 targets this year. Brady and Bradford have only thrown 1 INT aiming at each

Where does Jennings rank on missed tackles? Seems like he has quite a few...

Driver's got to be up there career-wise. I don't think he's ever had a reception without making at least one guy miss.

Haven't been able to find it yet. I'll tweet at them and ask.

Yeah I think he made all 11 defenders miss on that one long TD catch a few weeks ago. My memory may be hazy but I seem to remember him catching it and then running through the DL on his way to the end zone :P

Speaking of Pro Football Focus, their MVP race, updated today:

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay (75 points, three first-place votes)

Why Rodgers? In part, it’s because he appeared in the top 3 of eight different ballots, where there’s wildly differing opinion on the MVP merits of Brady, Vick and Ryan. His raw stats are certainly comparable to Brady’s (more picks and fewer TDs, but better yards per attempt and major efforts in the run game).

And you could certainly argue that his Packers would be 11-4 and the Patriots 12-3 had Rodgers not been hurt in the first half of the loss to Detroit. Matt Flynn did little vs. Detroit and couldn’t come up with the winner against a vulnerable Pats team in New England, despite some fine play.

Brady or Rodgers would be excellent choices, but the fact is that Rodgers has been our best-graded all-around QB on a per-play basis and has had to do more with less around him than Brady. Disagree with the choice if you like, but don’t pretend like it’s such a cut-and-dried decision.

They also have Sitton graded out as the best right guard in football.

Aaron Rodgers has been great this year.

If he got picked over Brady for MVP it would be a joke though. No one is even close to Brady this year.

It really wouldn't be a joke, though. Brady's deserving, but the point of the stats and numbers is that Rodgers has had a great year, too and is deserving as well.

I don't know if you can argue Rodgers has had less to work with. Sure we have had a lot of injuries including Grant and Finley but Brady hasn't been working with a bunch of pro bowlers. Green-Ellis and Woodhead have been solid but it's not exactly a running game you can lean on to win games. Rodgers has definitely had a deeper stable of WRs to throw to than Brady. Brady has a couple of good TEs in Hernandez and Grunkowski though. I'd say the surrounding talent is about a wash. GB has the better WRs and NE has the better RBs and TEs.

Would be awesome to see Rodgers get MVP but not make the pro bowl. Kind of like Denard Robinson getting Big Ten player of the year but not even being voted honorable mention all Big Ten QB.

If you think Rodgers has had a better season than Brady, I think you are being a homer. :P

That's not to rip on anyone, that's just to be honest. ;)

Brady has been unbelievable this year. People all speculated he was going to drop in production when Moss left.

34 TDs to 4 INTs while setting the record for most passes thrown without a pick. Leading a team to a 13-2 record with a defense that's been playing mediocre all year. Having such ridiculous stats with two rookie TEs, Wes Welker, Deoin Branch and some no-name RBs?

Come on. It's Tom Brady, Rodgers isn't even close. No one is this year.

NE has the better offensive line, RBs, and TEs. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is going to be a 1,000 yard back and is averaging 4.4 YPC. Woodhead has put down 600 yards alone and is average 5.6 YPC. They're much better then you think they are.

I do think Rodgers has a good WR core, and his surrounding pieces are solid despite losing Grant and Finley, but Brady's got an edge IMO.

LP, no one is saying that Rodgers has had a better season or is more deserving than Brady. Brady has had a fantastic season. His pick streak is great (though, even the most hardcore Pats fans I know admit that he's benefited from an inexplicable number of dropped picks there, like Woodson's). I think his surrounding talent is much better than you think, especially in the backfield. He has two good TEs, a solid OLine, a solid WR core, and good RBs. He was able to have a much more balanced offense than Rodgers has had this season, especially considering that Rodgers has had no running game whatsoever. And Rodgers suffered from two concussions and missed a game and a half.

Brady's deserving, no one denies that. I wouldn't be disappointed if he won. But I don't think it would be too ridiculous to give it to Rodgers, either.

I think it would be ridiculous for anyone who is not Tom Brady to win it. I really don't think there is evidence anywhere from anyone to show otherwise.

The most absurd thing in that article is "People could argue the Packers would have 11 wins if Rodgers didn't get hurt". Well I'm sure they could, but he did get hurt... So that really doesn't matter.

If Kevin Kolb never got hurt, then the Eagles wouldn't be as good and Vick wouldn't have been in the discussion all year. He did, so what?

I think Rodgers is going to win an MVP (possibly multiple, because he is really that good). This isn't the year though.

Brady is the clear MVP at this point. He essentially is that team. 34 TD/4 INT while being asked to carry the entire team on his shoulders. Which he did to the best record in football. He got no help from his D (27th in D for NE) and he lost Moss and still didn't miss a beat. Most have argued this season is better than his 50 TD year, due to the various factors.

Yep. It's not ripping on Aaron Rodgers.

It's just how good Brady has been. Rodgers isn't close, Vick isn't close. No one is.

Rodgers will win it next year when we win the division and have a first round bye in the playoffs.

I didn't know Joe Haden was playing that well. He turned out to be a very good pick apparently.

Also, Tramon Island is awesome. :D

I wonder if someone tries him out at LB.

Raji is a beast. Matthews/Raji draft is so good. :droop:

I was bummed when they became a pay site, but it certainly made sense for them.

I wonder how Bulaga has graded out according to them? I'm also curious about Shields.
