Hopefully the good Masthay shows up next week against the Eagles. I don't want to see Desean Jackson returning any kicks against us.

1. Please run James Starks on 1st and 2nd down, only use Jackson on 3rd down.
2. Do not kick to DeSean.
3. Rodgers has to outplay Vick.

This is going to be a great game. What a match-up for the first round of the playoffs.

I know, I almost feel like it's down hill if we can just just get by Philly. Especially since we wouldn't have to face NO (my most feared team if they are clicking) until the NFC Championship.

I think this is going to be a brutal road...I won't have confidence against anyone we're facing. We're too inconsistent on offense.

Is that him? Tweets include "Boi that hawk is out today believe that." and "On our way back to the bay with a big win today. Got a big one next and I get to go back to the city and put on."

I'm glad we are in but man,it's painful to think had we beat the Lions in week 14 we would be the #2 seed right now.

I think we can beat Philly but I would madly deeply be in love with our chances to win the NFC and the whole thing for that matter if we were the #1 or #2 seed right now.

A week off and then having to win 2 games at Lambeau or 1 at Lambeau and 1 on the road to get to the SB and I would really love ourchances.

3 games on the road makes it pretty much impossible for us IMO.

Three things to know about next Sunday's Green Bay Packers-Philadelphia Eagles wild-card game:

1. The Green Bay Packers are responsible for the Michael Vick Phenomena, circa 2010. It was the Packers, specifically linebacker Clay Matthews, who knocked out Philadelphia Eagles starter Kevin Kolb in a Week 1 game at Lincoln Financial Field. Vick rushed for 103 yards and rallied the Eagles from a 27-10 fourth-quarter deficit. Matthews stopped him on a fourth-down rushing attempt to seal a 27-20 victory, but Vick's performance while Kolb recovered from his concussion ultimately won him the Eagles' starting job. "We're going to have our hands full," Matthews said. "We know what kind of a caliber player he is. We're going to have to shut him down to have a chance."

2. Before winning in Week 1, the Packers had lost nine consecutive games in Philadelphia. (And we won't even bring up 4th-and-26.) But the only thing that matters is what this Packers team has done this season. And in 2010, the Packers were 3-5 on the road. But two of those victories came against playoff teams -- the Eagles and the New York Jets -- and overall the Packers are 21-19 on the road since coach Mike McCarthy took over in 2006. This is a team that won't be unsettled by playing in a relatively unfamiliar environment.

3. Many observers will use "attacking" and "multiple" as adjectives to describe the Eagles' defense. But the same thing can be said about the Packers. In Sunday's 10-3 victory over the Chicago Bears, the Packers blitzed a defensive back on 19 plays, including 16 in the second half. Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers is every bit as unpredictable as Eagles coordinator Sean McDermott, who has inherited and expanded the scheme created by the late Jim Johnson.

From an Eagles forum:

i think were in for a rude awakening against green bay. Were not stopping anyone defensively and our oline just scares the crap out of me.

I don't like our chances against the packers because of our defense.

WE MIGHT HAVE TO PUT UP 40+ TO BEAT THE PACK

GB and Matthews are gonna attack and eat us alive.

It will be scary watching our back 7 against a healthy Packers.

What will it take to get McCarthy to pull his head out and start giving the ball to Starks???

Yes. He was directly responsible for one big Forte run early, but otherwise the kid was all over the field doing good things.

Both of his sacks were huge 3rd down sacks. He certainly was legit tonight. Hopefully it wasn't an aberration and was something he can build on. Would be great to have a competent guy opposite Clay, just in case a good OLB doesn't fall to us in the draft.

I'd like to know what xTitan thinks about him, since he was so down on Jones and Zombo this year.
